5:45 p.m. Dustin Krapf, 33, Little Rock, AR., wanted on a warrant in Arkansas.

12:08 a.m. Attempt to locate an intoxicated driver in a gray Ford truck on Mitchell Road. Bedford Police alerted.

September 8

9:34 p.m. Request for an ambulance to the 2000 block of Stevens Avenue because an 8-year-old girl had fallen at the playground. A Rural Metro ambulance responded.

7:49 p.m. Report of possible child abuse at a home in the 3400 block of Coveyville Road in Heltonville.

7:37 p.m. A resident in the 300 block of Poplar Trail reported their neighbor was threatening to kill their dog.

7:20 p.m. A resident in the 5800 block of Lawrenceport Road reported their power was out and it sounded like there had been an accident. A tree was in the middle of the roadway and the highway department and utility company was notified.

6:37 p.m. Report of two men fighting at Mill Creek and Meridian roads. An IU Health Hospital ambulance and Marion Volunteer Fire Department responded.

6:31 p.m. 911 call reporting a domestic fight in the 900 block of North Illinois Street. Bedford Police were notified.

5:27 p.m. Report of a burglary in the 900 block of Thompson Lane. The caller reported there was forced entry.

3:55 p.m. Attempt to locate a reckless driver in a green Mazda traveling south on Ind. 37 from Monroe County. Indiana State Police contacted.

2:03 p.m. Report of a suicidal man at a home in the 4400 block of Ind. 60 West. An IU Health Hospital and Huron VFD responded. The man was taken to St. Vincent Dunn Hospital for treatment.

1:34 p.m. Report of a person reported they were being followed by another person on northbound Ind. 37 from Mitchell Road. The person has a protective order against the person who is following them. They were told to go to the Mitchell Police Department.

12:02 p.m. 911 call reporting a possible intoxicated driver traveling west on Ind. 60 East near Spring Mill State Park. Indiana State Police were alerted.

11:49 a.m. Request for an ambulance to the 200 block of Riggle Road because of a medical issue. A Rural Metro Ambulance and Indian Creek VFD responded.

11:30 a.m. A resident in the 3300 block of Hickory Grove Road reported his exwife had just told him she was going to committ suicide by taking 30 Lortabs or morphine pills. An IU Health Hospital and Pleasant Run VFD responded.

10:52 a.m. Report of a loud crash on the CSX railroad tracks near Cresthaven and a man on the railroad bridge yelling for help. Marion and Shawswick VFD, TOPES and an IU Health Hospital ambulance responded. CSX representative were contacted.

8:56 a.m. Report of criminal mischief reported in the 1400 block of Porter Burton Road. The caller reported that the Spice Valley Church had signs with profanity written on them and profanity written on the church door and beer cans set on the church steps.

8:47 a.m. Report of a large turkey barn on fire on County Road 200 East in Orleans. Rural District Rural II requested assistance from Marion VFD.

8:43 a.m. Report of an injured deer on DNR Road near VFW Road. Conservation officers were notified and the deer was put down.

8:41 a.m. 911 call reporting an unwanted female at a home in the 1100 block of 17th Street. Bedford Police were alerted.

6:42 a.m. 911 call requesting an ambulance to the 1400 block of 18th Street because the caller's son was unresponsive and having trouble breathing. An IU Health Hospital responded and Bedford Police were alerted.

5:13 a.m. Request for an ambulance and police to the 300 block of Trinton Circle because the caller's stepfather was intoxicated and had fallen and injured his head. The man was fighting with family members and refusing to let them take him to the emergency room. An IU Health Hospital ambulance and police responded.

September 9

12:45 a.m. Car/deer accident on Ind. 54 West at the Lawrence/Greene County line.

September 8

3:01 p.m. Property damage accident on U.S. 50 East at the Jackson County Line. Indiana State Police alerted.

8:56 a.m. Accident with injuries on Hayes Road. The accident was a fatal. An IU Health Hospital ambulance and Marshall VFD responded. A Life Line helicopter was contacted.

Mitchell Police Department
September 6

1:30 a.m. Jeremy Reynolds, 38, 2314 Old Ind. 60, wanted on a warrant for failure to appear.

September 7

3:52 p.m. Anna Leatherman, 47, 303 Wells Ave., cited into court for leaving the scene of a property damage accident.

September 8

12:01 a.m. Request for extra patrols in the 400 block of Wade Street.

1:48 a.m. A woman at Sixth and Warren streets reports there was a person on the porch of her apartment building. She would like them to leave. The woman made a second 911 call at 2:05 a.m. reporting the same problem. Officer could find no one on her porch.

1:50 a.m. 911 call requesting an officer to a home on West Grissom Avenue because two male were at her home with a knife threatening the caller and her husband over money. The woman told police she didn't know who the males were. The son left walking and the other male, the father, left in a tan older model Buick. The woman wrote down the license number but is came back not on file. Police were unable to locate the two men. Police made extra patrols and told the woman to call back if there were any other problems.

2:52 a.m. Report of people being loud in the alley behind the 300 block of East Frank Street. Police told the people to go inside for the night.

4:14 a.m. Request for an officer to check on subjects in a vehicle parked at Seventh and Oak streets. The people were fine.

5:49 a.m. Report of a an animal complaint in the 200 block of South Eighth Street.

8:34 a.m. Report of a two or three-year-old girl in the street at Second and Kelly streets with no adults around. Police checked the area and were not able to find a child. Then at 8:51 a.m. A person at the Nazerine Church reported a small girl was at the rear of the church. Officers found the child and the Department of Child Services was contacted. Police went to the child's home but no one would come to the door. The father was finally woke and answered the door and was given the child. Child Services will follow up on the case.

1:38 p.m. A man at Mitchell Man reported he has a retraining order against a man and that person was at the location causing problems. Police told the caller the man had not been served with the restraining order.

5:52 p.m. A man was on station about a theft case.

6:38 p.m. Report of a fight between two men at Doc Hamilton Drive and Meridian Road.

7:07 p.m. Report of a man with a child standing up on a powder blue scooter traveling on Warren and Seventh Streets.

9:30 p.m. Report of a civil dispute at 10th and Warren street.

9:31 p.m. 911 call from a woman reported a red pickup truck was following her to the Spring Station and wanting to fight. The woman turned around and headed to the police station. Police spoke to all involved and the problem was settled.

9:43 p.m. A woman in the 100 block of Kelly Street reports a puppy got loose and she took it home after knocking on door and more puppies got loose. The owner was contacted and got the loose puppies.

10:22 p.m. A woman in the 200 block of Brook Street requested a welfare check on a woman on Brook Street. The caller stated she had attempted to call the woman several times and she is not answering her phone. Police were able to contact the woman and she was fine.

September 9

12:30 a.m. Request for extra patrols on Wade Street.

12:34 a.m. Request for extra patrols on HelMar Drive.
