Bedford Police Department
1:25 p.m. Richard Simmerman, 41, 751 Glendale Way, ciminal mischief.
12:35 a.m. Derek Meadows, 29, 409 Heltonville Rd., operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangerment.
5:37 p.m. Daniel Anderson, 35, 2212 M St. Apt. 3B, wanted on a warrant for failure to appear on a civil writ.
4:28 p.m. Hal Hoover, 63, Cicero, speeding.
5:25 p.m. Matthew Couch, 24, 1021 Mt. Pleasant Rd., driving while driver's lisence suspended.
4 p.m. Darbi Hughes, 30, Mitchell, speeding.
3:24 p.m. Stephanie Webnb, 24, 1330 I St. Apt. D, speeding.
10 a.m. Max Smith, 49, Oolitic, driving while driver's license suspended.
6:42 p.m. Report of a possible intoxicated driver in a black Ford Ranger in the Crowder's parking lot. The vehicle was gone when police arrived.
5:30 p.m. Report of the theft of a wallet. The man says he could have left it out the register. The wallet was found.
4:59 p.m. 911 call reporting an irate man in the 100 block of Edgewood Drive. The man was throwing things around in the home. The male left for the night.
4:28 p.m. A female was on station to report a violation of a protective order.
2:43 p.m. Request for a welfare check on a small child who was seen playing in the roadway on Hillcrest Road with no adult in the area. Police went to the home and a female answered the door. Police say the woman had been sleeping and the small child was on the floor crying.
2:31 p.m. 911 call reporting a church bus was speeding at times and weaving in and out of traffic on Ind. 37 north.
2:29 p.m. Report of a driver's license found at 13th and M streets.
2:25 p.m. 911 call reporting an intoxicated woman was refusing to leat her husband leave the home. The man had been battered. Police assisted him in gathering his belongings and he left for the night.
2:17 p.m. 911 call from a woman reporting she lost her wallet.
1:02 p.m. A woman was on station to report the theft of a cell phone at WalMart. The phone was turned in by someone at the store.
11:41 p.m. Request for an ambulance to the 2600 block of 16th Street because a person was having a seizure. An IU Health Hospital ambulance responded.
10:26 a.m. Report of a mountain lion behind the Farm Bureau Insuance building on John Williams Boulevard.
9:30 a.m. Report of a man changing his clothers in the middle of the 1700 block of K Street. The caller says this man comes on her front porch and takes cigarette buds. The man was advised.
4:38 a.m. 911 call reporting a suspicious man in the Holiday Inn pacing in the front lobby.
4:15 a.m. 911 call reporting a woman in the area of Mark III Motel had a seizure and hit her head and was not sure where she was. Police found the woman in the lot next to the motel. An IU Health Hospital ambulance responded.
2:51 p.m. Report of a riding lawn mover crashing into the guardrail at Otis Park Golf Course. There was no accident when police arrived.
Lawrence County Police
10:35 a.m. Richard Hathon, 60, 2825 U.S. 50 East, wanted on two warrants for failure to appear.
7:15 p.m. Tanner Smith, 20, Ellettsville, possession of a legion drug and possession of marijuana under 30 grams.
11:43 p.m. 911 call reporting a strong chemical odor on Gun Smith Road at the apartments. The caller says the odor was so strong it was making their friend sick. Officers could find no odor.
9:39 p.m. Report of a light on in an abandoned trailer and the smell of burn wire in the 3500 block of Old Farm Road.
9:20 p.m. Report of a female driver in a Ford Explorer stopped at the entrance of Spring Mill State Park suffering a possible heart attack. An IU Health Hospital ambulance responded.
8:30 p.m. Report of a 4-wheeler racing up and down South Meridian and VFW roads in Mitchell.
8:05 p.m. Reprot of a domestic fight in the 200 block of 6th Street in Oolitic. The woman reported her husband was attempting to get in the house. The man left for the night.
7:20 p.m. Report of a person in a white diesel truck revving the engine and large amounts of dark smoke in the area of Old Farm Road. Police will make extra patrols.
6:39 p.m. Report of a burglary to a shed in the 100 block of Vinegar Hill Road.
6:26 p.m. Report ofa domestic fight at a home in the 200 block of 6th Street in Oolitic. The woman reported her husband was threatening her.
5:38 p.m. Report of a dog falling 50 to 80 feet off a cliff. The dog was recovered.
4:02 p.m. 911 call reporting two men and a female in a black GMC were at a home in the 133 block of Sorrells Road making threats. The caller's son was shooting his gun in the air to scare them off. Dispatchers told the caller to have the son put the gun up and go into the house and wait for police. The people making the threats were gone when police arrived.
3:45 p.m. Report of a plane making an emergency landing at the airport. Shawswick Volunteer Fire Department and an IU Health Hospital responded.
2:09 p.m. A person was on station to report a battery.
2:38 p.m. The caller reported finding a pair of pants with hypodermic needles in the pocket and a shoe near the Salt Creek bridge on Ind. 450.
1:46 p.m. Report of a battery on Woodsferry Road. The person was told to come on station to file a report.
1:45 p.m. Report of a protective order violation in the 500 block of Trinton Circle.
1:33 p.m. Request for an ambulance to the jail because a male inmate was having a medical issue. An IU Health Hospital ambulance responded.
12:29 p.m. Request for an ambulance to the 1100 block of Sheridan Drive because a man was suffering from shortness of breath. An IU Health Hosptial ambulance responded.
Mitchell Police Department
10:50 a.m. Gary Bell, 60, 315 West Oak St., disregarding a stop sign.
2:07 a.m. 911 call reporting a vehicle fire at Meridian and Frank streets. Mitchell VFD responded. The fire was in the cab of a truck. The fire was put out by the owner. The state fire marshal was contacted.
3:24 a.m. Request for an officer to the Sprint station because two customers at the pumps were having a dispute.
5:50 a.m. Report of a possible drunk driver going south on Ind. 37 passing CVS.
10:19 a.m. Report of an older man standing along Ind. 37 near Teke Burton Drive. Police checked the area and were unable to locate the man.
12 p.m. Report of finding a weed eater in their yard by the shed that does not belong to the caller in the 600 block of South Eighth Street.
1:32 p.m. Report of a man causing a disturbance in the 300 block of East Frank Street.
2:06 p.m. Report of a fight with two kids and adults in the 500 block of West Grissom Avenue.
2:46 p.m. Two juveniles were on station reporting three other juvenilse were throwing shirts at them and one tried to start a fight and then ran off. Police spoke to all involved.
3:08 p.m. Report of a fire alarm sounding at Mitchell High School. Mitchell VFD responded. There was no fire. The alarm was malfunctioning. This was the fourth time the alarm had sounded. Personal had turned on the grill for the first time and it set the alarm off, but firefighters still evacuated the building and checked out the area. Mainenance will replace the heat detector in the alarm and firefighters are to disregard any other alarms until the repairs are done. They will telephone when the job was finished. The alarm was fixed at 6:09 p.m.
4:08 p.m. Report of a possible drug exchange in front of the Sprint station. The caller reported a car pulled up and then another vehicle and something was exchanged and both vehicles left.
6:05 p.m. A woman called with a rental question.
7:30 p.m. A caller reported there was a woman sitting at the electrical box across from an apartment building and the woman just stares at her. Police told the caller they could not make the woman leave because it was a public place. The caller was advised to get a protective order.
8:05 p.m. A woman reports her cigarettes, money and medication was taken out of her purse at ahome in the 300 block of East Frank Street. The woman was to come on station to file a police report.
8:07 p.m. A woman and man were on station in reference to an uncontrollable juvenile. Police went and got the juvenile and spoke with all three.
10:05 p.m. A man was on station to speak to officers about his stolen guitar.
10:51 p.m. A woman from the 100 block of West Warren Street was on station to give a statement about an earlier fire.
11 p.m. Report of loud music in the 600 block of West Frank Street. The people were told to turn down the music.
11:48 p.m. Report of a loud explosion or noise coming from the area of North Ninth Street or 60's Eastside. Police could find no problem.
3:42 a.m. Report of two males on moped at the corner of Third and Frank streets near the church. The drivers were enroute to Bedford and had stopped to rest for a moment.
12:28 a.m. 911 call reporting an accident with injuries in the 100 block of Warren Street. The driver hit a telephone pole and needed an ambulance. Police say there were no injuries.
Oolitic Police Department
8:30 p.m. Steven Lovitt, 22, 184 Lafayette Ave, battery.
