Bedford Police Department
5:36 p.m. Kody Brinkman, 25, 508 S St., domestic battery causing injury.
6:52 p.m. Tammy Rost, 49, Terre Haute, speeding.
8:49 p.m. Request for extra patrols in the 1200 block of 24th Street.
9:29 p.m. Request for an ambulance to the 2300 block of 39th Street becasue a man was having chest pains. Also possible domestic dispute at same location. There was no dispute the woman was yelling at the man because she wanted him to go to the hospital. An IU Health Hospital amblance and officers responded.
8:16 p.m. Report of a woman yelling and causing a disturbance in the 1600 block of 16th Street. The woman had left, but the caller still wanted an officers to come to her home.
7:59 p.m. Emergency room personnel at IU Health Hospital requested an officers because a woman and two children were in the emergency room and the children had bruises on them.
7:52 p.m. Report of two intoxicated men at Centerstone at the basketball courts. The men told police they did have a few drinks. The men were told to go home. Officers were called back because the men were involved in a domestic fight at Hamilton Courts. The men were advised again to go home. Then an officer was flagged down again about another domestic fight. Officers spoke with all involved and told them to contact their landlord about the problem.
7:55 p.m. 911 call reporting smoke coming from the roof area of Cut Hut. The Bedford Fire Department responded. There was no fire the smoke was coming from an air conditioning unit.
5:36 p.m. Report of a woman being thrown from a moving vehicle by her boyfriend in the 400 block of M Street. A man was arrested. The woman suffered minor injuries but refused an ambulance.
7:05 p.m. 911 call from a suicidal woman reporting she was wanting to hurt herself and she needed help. An IU Health Hospital responded and the woman signed a voluntary committment.
5:09 p.m. Report of a suspicious person in the trash at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Thrift Store.
5 p.m. Crossroads Truck Equipment in the 800 block of T Street request extra patrol because they were having problems with people breaking into vehicle and trying to steal them.
4:29 p.m. Officers cleared the lot of juveniles on bicycles at Thornton Park.
3:24 p.m. Bedford Utilities requested an officer reference a theft.
3:24 p.m. Report of the theft of a moped in the 800 block of 8th Street.
11:06 a.m. Report of vandalism to a vehicle in the 1700 block of J Street. The windows had been shot with a BB gun.
9:15 p.m. Report of a woman running from an abandoned shed in the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue near Kat's Dance Studio. The woman had been living in the shed.
9:13 a.m. Breaking and entering to a vehicle at 15th and L streets. A stereo was stolen from a customer's vehicle.
9:30 a.m. A woman's wallet was found at McDonalds.
9:02 a.m. Report of suspicious activity at Stone City Products and possible drug activity in the area. Police will make extra patrols.
8:18 a.m. Report of a theft from WalMart.
5:11 a.m. Request for an ambulance to Westview Maonr. An IU Health Hospital ambulance responded.
7:25 p.m. Two 911 calls reporting an accident at 14th and J streets
12:41 p.m. Property damage accident at WalMart.
Lawrence County Police
10 a.m. Kortni Sowders, 29, Mitchell, wanted on a warrant for animal cruelty.
10 a.m. Matthew Sowders, 31, Mitchell, wanted on a warrant for animal cruelty.
2:15 p.m. Douglas Holbrook, 17, Oolitic, waived into adult court on a warrant for burglary.
3:25 p.m. Austin Smith, 33, Bedford, wanted on three warrants for failure to appear.
3:40 p.m. Jamie Byrd, Williams, wanted on a warrant for petition to revoke probation.
2:08 a.m. Report of a burglary in the 800 block of Tunnelton Bono Road.
1:53 a.m. Report of criminal mischief at a resident in the 2600 block of West Powerline Road. Five males on moped threw eggs at the home and then fled toward Mundell Estates.
10:56 p.m. Request for an ambulance to the 30 block of Greenhill Addition because a woman had fallen and now was having a seizuer. An IU Health Hospital ambulance responded.
9:04 p.m. Request for an ambulance to the 700 block of Hoosier Avenue in Oolitic because the caller's husband had fallen in the back yard, but was not believed to be injured. Oolitic Volunteer Fire Department responded.
7:12 p.m. Request for extra patrols in the 1000 block of Porter Burton Road.
6:30 p.m. Report of a burglary to a home on Ind. 37 and items were missing.
3:15 p.m. Report of a domestic fight between two women in the 400 block of Poplar Way in Springville.
3:10 p.m. A man was on station about a child custody problem. The man was arrested after police determined he was wanted on warrants.
12:32 p.m. A person was on station to file a battery report. The battery happened on July 11.
11:08 a.m. Request for extra partol in the 800 block of Church Camp Road because of a breaking and entering over the weekend.
10 a.m. Report of a civil dispute in the 200 block of Johnson Lane. A woman requested an officer to assist her with getting her children from their father. The woman had a court order to get the children.
9:46 a.m. A man and woman were on station to turn themselves in.
6:12 p.m. Accident with injuries on Sandpit Road near Rockwood Drive.
12:31 p.m. Truck/deer accident on East Harrison Street in Orleans.
Mitchell Police Department
1:45 a.m. A report of a suspicious male wearing a hoodie on Doc Hamilton Boulevard just west of the bridge. Police were unable to locate the person. Police received another call reported the man was walking west. Police checked the area agains and were unable to find the man.
4:13 a.m. 911 call requesting an ambulance to Elm Park II because a 61-year-old man was having a had time breathing. A Rural Metro ambulance and Mitchell VFD responded.
7:31 a.m. Request for an ambulance to Hamilton Bolevard because a person was suffering from shortness of breath. An IU Health Hospital and Mitchell VFD responded.
8:56 a.m. Request for a welfare check in the 900 block of Orchard Street. The caller reported she had not heard from her elderly sister and she was not answering the phone. The woman was okay, the woman's phone was not working. Police were not able to get the phone working and advised the woman to contact Frontier to make repairs because the woman's medical lifeline was not working.
9:34 a.m. Request for assistance getting a woman in a wheelchair at Persimmon Park Apartment because they are getting ready to spray all the buildings. A Rural Metro ambulance responded.
11:11 a.m. Report of the theft of fence post and a Shepards hook from behind her apartment at Persimmon Park Apartments.
11:33 a.m. Request for an ambulance to Camelot Courts because a woman was suffering from arm numbness and can't walk. An IU Health Hospital ambulance and Mitchell VFD responded.
11:34 a.m. A woman in the 200 block of Oak Street reported that on July 20th she was held against ther will at a the home by her ex boyfriend and the father of her baby and it lasted for about 30 minues before she was allowed to leave with her child. She told the dispatcher she reported this when it happened and there was nothing done. The woman came to the station to make a report.
12:20 p.m. Report of a three or four-year-old male walking toward the apartments on Bartlett Drive with no one with him. Police were unable to locate the child but did see an adult carrying a child about that age.
12:32 p.m. A resident in the 500 block of South Seventh Street reported harassment. The person was told how to get a protective order.
1:59 p.m. Report of two vehicles in the roadway on Rabbitsville Road just north of Lakeside Estates. The drive is setting on the ground. Police received a second call reporting what appeared to be an accident. Police were unable to find an accident. Officers also checked the entire area around Northside and Lakeside Trailer Parks. Police then received a call reporting the accident was just north of Dean Street. The driver's family showed up on the scene. There was damage to a Frontier pedistal on the utility pole.
2:24 p.m. Request for an ambulance to the 500 block of South Fifth Street because a woman had run a piece of metal through her foot. A Rural Metro ambulance responded.
2:50 p.m. A resident at Camelot Courts reports being harassed by a neighbor.
3:22 p.m. Request for an ambulance to the 1100 block of North Marion Street because an elderly woman needed transported to the hospital because of possible kidney failure. A Rural Metro ambulance responded.
3:44 p.m. A woman was on station to speak to an officer.
3:45 p.m. A woman was on station to speak to an officer.
4:06 p.m. Report of a semi-truck knocking down some power lines at 7th and Curry streets. New Wave Communication was notified because it was their cable line knocked down.
6:15 p.m. A woman was on station to speak to an officer.
6:24 p.m. Request for someone to help lift a person at Persimmon Park Apartments. A Rural Metro ambulance and Mitchell VFD responded.
7:30 p.m. Report of two juveniles in the 100 block of North Sixth Street that are not suppost to be there. Police spoke to the individuals who said they were moving their things out of a home.
7:50 p.m. Police went to a home in the 500 block of West Grissom Avenue looking for a person wanted on a warrant the person was not at the home.
7:58 p.m. Request for assistance lifting a person in the 1100 block of North Marion Street. A Rural Metro ambulance and Mitchell VFD responded.
8:14 p.m. A resident on Plum Street reports harassment.
8:15 p.m. Report of a problem with a neighbor's dog in the 1100 block of North Marion Street.
8:33 p.m. Report of two females in a fight at Persimmon Park Apartment. Police spoke to both involved no one wanted to file charges.
9:10 p.m.Report of a person driving a crotch rocket type motorcycle east on Main Street going about 100 miles per hour and then turned around and was traveling west on Main Street at a reduced speed, but still driving too fast.
9:40 p.m. Report of several juveniles walking through the alley in the 200 block of East Frank Sreet during the nightime hours for the last couple of nights.
10:17 p.m. Report of a fire alarm sounding at Mitchell High School. Mitchell VFD responded. There was no fire, but a faulty alarm.
