5:28 p.m. Samantha Mitchell, 16, 7935 Ind. 158, speeding.

6:10 p.m. Amelia Mellott, 39, Oolitic, speeding.

9:07 p.m. Request for an ambulance to the 1000 block of O Street because a man was having a possible heart attack or stroke. An IU Health Hospital ambulance responded.

7:37 p.m. 911 call reporting a woods fire in the 1000 block of J Street. The Bedford Fire Department responded.

7:35 p.m. A woman from Ridgewood Apartments that has a protective order against a man reported he allegedly ordered more than 30 magazines in her name and wanted to know if there was something she could do about it.

7:19 p.m. An ISP trooper reports he was advised of a possible drug deal that would happen at Jackson Mini-Mart around midnight. A woman was to meet a semi-truck driver in the parking lot.

6:49 p.m. A woman reported that she had borrowed her daughter's vehicle and realized the license plates were expired the vehicle is parked in the 1700 block of M Street.

5:52 p.m. Police cleared the pavilion at Thorton Park of loitiers.

5:24 p.m. Report of a suspicious person in the woods near Otis Park and Leatherwood Road. The person was picking berries and was advised to get permission from the property owners.

4:31 p.m. 911 call reporting a moped driver was driving all over the roadway at Mitchell Road and 30th Street. The driver was advised.

4:31 p.m. A resident in the 2000 block of 13th Street reports the theft of a license plate.

4:30 p.m. Report of possible drug activity in a white Bonneville traveling at 13th and L streets.

4:01 p.m. 911 call requesting an ambulance to the 2600 block of Clover Lane because a woman was having diabetic problems. An IU Health Hospital ambulance responded.

3:14 p.m. Report of a possible intoxicated driver leaving IU Health Hospital parking lot. The vehicle was stopped. The driver was not intoxicated but did have a medical issue.

3:08 p.m. Report of two dogs in the 600 block of I Street without shelter, water or food and they have sores on their ears and nose. Animal Control talked to the owner and the dogs did have water and the wounds were being treated.

2:50 p.m. Report of a suspicious person at the shelterhouse at the church on Bellback Road. There was no problem and the person left.

2:14 p.m. Report of a suspicious package found at the laundromat in the 2000 block of Steven Avenue. There was no problem, the package was a homemade insect trap.

1:46 p.m. Report of a finding a wallet at McDonalds.

1:15 p.m. Report of finding a bicycle in the 1000 block of 17th Street. The bike was taken to the police station.

12:48 p.m. Report of a woman laying in a truck at NAPA Auto. The woman was on her lunch break and just resting.

12:24 p.m. Report of a man across from the pool at 16th and Poplar streets punching the cement wall adn waving his arms at passing vehicles. The man was out of the roadway when police arrived and he had calmed down.

12:01 Theft of a motorcycle from a resident in the 1300 block of Breckenridge Road.

11:53 a.m. Report of an irate male in the lobby of the Lawrence County Police Department. The man was ranting about social security, parole and housing.

7:33 a.m. Request for an ambulance to Hamilton Courts because of a medical issue. An IU Health Hospital responded.

3:11 a.m. Report of possible gun shots or a transformer popping in the 500 block of 9th Street in Mitchell Road.

1:05 a.m. A woman in the 500 block of Schores Lane reported someone had damaged the under pinning of her trailer. Police found no one at the trailer. The woman requested extra patrols.

1:05 a.m. Bedford dispatch received a 911 call reporting an attempted murder at 1901 Indiana Avenue in Oolitic. There was no such address. The call was made from the Circle K in Bedford. Officers did speak to a man who had walked from the service station to the Hauck House.

11:58 p.m. A resident in the 500 block of McFadden Ridge Road reports someone tried to enter their back door. Police were unable to locate anyone.

10:35 p.m. Report of a moped driver with something strapped to his back on Ind. 37 and Washboard Road. Police were unable to locate the driver.

10:34 p.m. Report of a suspicious package left at a home by the caller's son in the 1300 block of Buddah Road.

10:27 p.m. Request for an ambulance of the 4700 block of U.S. 50 West because a woman was ill. An IU Health Hospital ambulance and Huron Volunteer Fire Department responded.

9:21 p.m. Report of a domestic fight in the 11000 block of U.S. 50 West between a mother and daughter. One of the women left the home.

9:11 p.m. Request for an ambulance to a home in the 500 block of Art Gallery Road because a man had fallen in the driveway. Rural Metro ambulance and Marion VFD responded.

8:49 a.m. Request for an ambulance to the 600 block of Pinhook Road because an elderly woman had fell and hit her head. An IU Health Hospital ambulance and Shawswick VFD responded.

8:25 p.m. A call from a home at Mystic Lake reporting a domestic fight between a woman and her ex-boyfriend who is the father of her deceased child. The woman wants the cremated remains of her child given to her. The father was refusing because his family had paid for the funeral expenses and he wanted to bury the child at his sister's grave in Springville. Police spoke to both parties and advised them it was a civil matter and told the woman to hire an attorney.

8:02 p.m. Mitchell Police requested assistance at a home in the 300 block of Bartlett Drive because a person was being combative.

7:40 p.m. Request for an ambulance to the 600 block of West 9th Street in Oolitic because a woman was having trouble breathing. An IU Health Hospital ambulance and Oolitic VFD responded.

7:15 p.m. A woman was on station to report a theft.

6:43 p.m. Request for a welfare check on Perry Street.

6:02 p.m. Report of a vehicle fire in the 20 block of Trinton Avenue. Shawswick VFD responded.

5:04 p.m. Report that a man had tampered with his sister's brakes on her vehicle in the 500 block of Shores Lane.

4:32 p.m. Report of a suicidal woman in the middle of U.S. 50 East near D&D Star Stop. The woman had taken half a bottle of medication. An IU Health Hospital ambulance and Shawswick VFD responded.

4:01 p.m. A resident in the 300 block of Kentucky Hollow Road reported returning home from a funeral and finding his front door open.

3:14 p.m. Request for an ambulance crew to help assist lifting a person in the 100 block of Mill Street. An IU Health Hospital ambulance and Shawswick VFD responded.

3:04 p.m. Request for an ambulance to a home in the 9500 block of Ind. 58 East because a person had fallen and hurt their back. An Rural Metro ambulance and Pleasant Run VFD responded.

3:03 p.m. Request for an ambulance because a 70-year-old man was chocking at a home in the 400 block of Duncan Bend Lane. An IU Health Hospital and Shawswick VFD responded.

3:03 p.m. Police reported seeing clouds spinning in a fast rotation in the Heltonville area. Pleasant Run VFD put on alert.

2:15 p.m. Report of a dump truck on fire on Leatherwood Circle and U.S. 50 East. Shawswick VFD and TOPES responded.

12:40 a.m. Report of low hanging utility lines in the 1200 block of Dive Road.

12:40 a.m. A resident in the 40 block of Wells Lane in Springville reported the theft of their medication from a vehicle.

11:35 a.m. A resident in the 150 block of Meridian Street in East Oolitic reports someone had cut the tires on their vehicle. They requested extra patrols.

10:17 a.m. A resident in the 50 block of Bluebird Pie Road reported a fraud.

9:55 a.m. A person was on station to report possible child abuse.

8:01 a.m. A resident in the 1600 block of Old Ind. 37 North reported being threatened.

5:41 a.m. Report of hay bails on fire on the Armstrong property on Spencer Pike south of Popcorn Church Road. Perry VFD responded.

12:38 a.m. Police spoke to juvenile who were out after curfew.

11:40 a.m. Request for an officer to come to the 200 block of West Main Street because the caller's mother was in labor.

12:13 p.m. Report of a domestic fight at Persimmon Park Apartments.

1:50 p.m. Caller reports he found what looked like marijuana growing off Main Street near the railroad tracks.

1:58 p.m. Report of the theft of copper wire from the 400 block of North Seventh Street.

5:05 p.m. A resident at Persimmon Park Apartments reported the theft of a license plate.

6:40 p.m. A resident in the 200 block of Rabbitsville Road reported her son was being threatened.. Police were unable to locate the person making the threats.

7:50 p.m. Report of an elderly male sitting on a porch in the 300 block of Bartlett Drive. The homeowner did not know the male and he is refusing to leave. The man became combative and a Rural Metro ambulance responded. Police located a family member who was on her way to pick he male up.

July 24

12:07 a.m. Police attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation on Ind. 37 the vehicle continued to Arby's and then McDonalds. Vehicle continued north on Ind. 37 and the officer reported the driver was picking up speed. The vehicle was finally stopped near Burris School. The driver was arrested and then taken to St. Vincent Hospital.
