Bedford Police Department
June 18

10:26 p.m. Kelly Kelley, 23, Indianapolis, speeding.

5:43 p.m. Sonja Taylor, 69, 1105 25th St., expired license plate.

3:24 p.m. Molly Chastain, 18, 2231 25th St., speeding.

June 18

9:08 p.m. A woman was on station reporting she had made her husband leave their home in the 2200 block of I Street and needed some advice.

8:03 p.m. A male reported a theft from a home in the 1100 block of 13th Street.

7:48 p.m. Report of the railroad crossing arms down for more than 10 minutes at 10th Street and Lincoln Avenue.

7:17 p.m. Report of a the warning light on at the CSX railroad crossing at 18th and J streets.

7:14 p.m. 911 call reporting a man who was intoxicated was walking around the area of 1700 block of J Street.

6:43 p.m. 911 call reporting a man was suffering from burns from a possible meth lab explosion. Officers went to a home in the 1000 block of 18th Street and found a man with burns to his shoulder. The man told police he was burned while sitting at a campfire.

4:48 p.m. Work crews will have 15th and J streets closed today for work.

3:58 p.m. A man was on station to report a possible sexual predator involving a minor child at John Lowery Pool.

3:48 p.m. Report of a vehicle damaged while parked at Wilson Park.

3:44 p.m. Report of a pit bull killing ducks at a home in the 1600 block of 16th Street. The dog's owner was advised.

2:04 p.m. A resident in the 1000 block of 14th Street reports his neighbor is shooting his dog with a BB gun.

1:05 p.m. Report of a fight between two females in the 200 block of 17th Street.

1:09 p.m. 911 call from Walgreen's reporting two male and a female possibly shoplifting and the store alarm sounded when they left the store. The teens ran down the alley behind Copy Trolley. The manager was called and they will review the store video to see if anything was stolen.

12:06 p.m. An unwanted male was beating on a door in the 1900 block of Steven Avenue. The male was told by police to stop and leave.

11:51 a.m. A woman called reporting a woman was holding an infant on her lap in a blue PT Cruiser while traveling north on P Street.

10:26 a.m. Report of a child walking on Lincoln Avenue and crying and saying he is going to his dad's house. While the caller was on the phone, the child's mother pulled up and got the child.

10:18 a.m. Superior Auto reports the theft of a battery from a 2002 Ford Escape.

9:40 a.m. Report of damage to a door at Ridgewood Apartments.

9:22 a.m. 911 call from Ridgewood Apartments on Stevens Lane reporting a domestic fight. The male was gone when police arrived.

9:13 a.m. A man was on station to report a stolen vehicle.

8:24 a.m. Report of a suspicious male at Seventh Street and Lincoln Avenue.

12:39 a.m. Report of people loitering in the parking lot of Tractor Supply.

June 18

5:37 p.m. Property damage accident at the Boys & Girls Club.

3:58 p.m. Property damage accident on the courthouse square that happened sometime during the day. The other vehicle left the scene.

June 18

3 p.m. Buddy Smith, 23, Bloomington, wanted on a warrant for petition to revoke probation.

June 18

1:59 a.m. Property damage accident in the field behind Judah Junction.

12:38 a.m. Report of a burglary in the 5000 block of Old Farm Road. Someone had got into the caller's trailer and took an IPhone. While the caller was on the phone her husband went outside and saw the suspect leaving in a black Pontiac Grand Am. The person threw the phone out of the car window. Police will make extra patrols.

9:38 p.m. Report of a neighbor threatening to shoot children walking home in the 400 block of Old Farm Road.

9:08 p.m. Domestic fight in the 700 block of Glendale Way.

9:01 p.m. Report of a civil dispute over property the caller reported a man was refusing to return her property. Police spoke with the man who says he will return it as soon as he gets it out of storage.

7:24 p.m. Report of vandalism to a home in the 400 block of Yockey Road. A window was broken.

4:09 p.m. Request for an ambulance in the 2800 block of Avoca Eureka Road because a man had passed out had fallen into glass and had several cuts. An IU Health Hospital and Marshall Volunteer Fire Department responded.

2 p.m. A man was on station to report trespassing and receiving threatening text messages over a dog. Police spoke to the man sending the text messages and he told police he would stop.

10:29 a.m. Request for an ambulance to a home in the 900 block of High Water Road. A woman was on the floor and could not get up. An IU Health Hospital ambulance and Indian Creek VFD responded.

9:20 a.m. 911 call reporting a domestic fight in the 400 block of Stevens Avenue.

6:08 a.m. 911 call reporting a domestic fight in the 2800 block of Old Ind. 37. The woman caller reported her boyfriend had returned and was now passed out.

4:07 a.m. Request for an ambulance to the 1800 block of WPA Road because a man was down in the bathroom floor. An IU Health Hospital and Marion VFD responded.

June 18

4:47 p.m. Property damage with injuries on Dunn Bridge Road east of Bartlettsville Church. Bedford Fire Department and Pleasant Run, Marshall, VFD and TOPES and a Rural Metro ambulance responded.

6:10 a.m. Car/deer accident on Coveyville Road in the Guthrie Bottoms.

Mitchell Police Department
June 18

4 p.m. Robert Lane, 51, Martinsville, battery causing injury.

June 18

12:57 p.m. A man in the 100 block of South 11th Street reported the Mitchell Building Commission had tapped a notice on his newly wrapped cargo trailer and the tape caused damage to the decal. Advised police he would be speaking to the mayor.

1:16 p.m. Report of a man laying along Rabbitsville Road, just north of Hamilton Boulevard. The man was just walking along with another male when he fell while walking. At 1:43 p.m. The man was sitting in the middle of the road. Police say the man was okay but had suffered a seizure and didn't not want medical attention. Police gave the man a ride home.

2:38 p.m. The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Lawrence County until 10 p.m.

3 p.m. Report of a fight behind McDonalds one of the men had a baseball bat. A person was hit with the bat. A Rural Metro ambulance and Mitchell VFD responded. The person had a bad cut above their eye. The person was taken to St. Vincent Dunn Hospital. A man was arrested.

3:55 p.m. Report of a reckless driver on INd. 37 south of Hamilton Boulevard.

4:45 p.m. Report of an elderly woman walking in the area of Ninth and Brook Streets. The woman seems confused and walked up to a white house near the rooming house and was talking to someone on the porch. The woman was reported to be unsteady. Police went to the area and could not find the woman.

5:20 p.m. Report of an intoxicated driver on Ind. 37 traveling south from Mitchell.

5:35 p.m. Report of a line down and tree limbs down in the 1100 block of North Marion Street. Street Department notified.

6 p.m. Report of trees down and in the power line and blocking the roadway in the 200 block of West Hancock Avenue. Street Department workers report the limbs were in the phone lines not power lines.

6:12 p.m. Report of tree limbs down in the 100 block of East Vine Street. The Street Department was notified

6:28 p.m. Report of tree limbs down in the power and phone lines and truck in the alley of 600 block of West Frank Street. Duke Energy and the Street Department were notified.

6:39 p.m. Report of tree limbs blocking the roadway at 11th and Tulip streets. The Street Department was notified.

5:50 p.m. A resident in the 500 block of South 7th Street reports a problem with her 19-year-old daughter being disorderly and punching holes in the wall. Police say the mother and daughter were fighting and the problem was resolved for now.

6:48 p.m. Report of a woman standing behind the Compton Apartments bleeding badly. An IU Health Hospital ambulance and Mitchell VFD responded. The woman was taken to the hospital.

7:26 p.m. 911 call reporting a white PT Cruiser had turned east off Meridian Road onto Doc Hamilton Boulevard and was traveling at a high-rate of speed and driving recklessly. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.

10:22 p.m. Report of a tree down in the 100 block West Vine Street at the dead end. The tree was blocking the roadway and driveways. The tree was pushed from the driveway and the Street Department will respond in the morning to clean up the debris.

10:39 p.m. 911 call reporting a problem while repossessing a vehicle on Marion Street. The owner of the vehicle gave the keys to the person repossessing the vehicle.

11:05 p.m. Report of a tree down at Stevens Lane and Wright Station Road. Street Department will clean up the debris in the morning.
