Bedford Police Department
Incidents - May 11

  • 12:54 a.m. Domestic fight at Wal-Mart. Two runaway teens, a 17-year-old male from Monroe County and a 15-year-old female from Owen County, were in a dispute with the female's father. The teens were detained and the female was released to her father and the male was transported to Monroe County Police Department.

  • 9:06 p.m. Medical emergency in the 710 block of V Street.
  • 8:29 p.m. Traffic stop at 16th and Beech streets. Richard Staggs, 45, Seymour, was cited for speeding
  • 7:48 p.m. Medical emergency in the 200 block of O Street. An AMR ambulance responded
  • 7:22 p.m. Traffic stop at I and 22nd streets
  • 7:05 p.m. Traffic stop at 16th and J streets
  • 6:37 p.m. Medical emergency in the 1920 block of Plaza Drive
  • 5:52 p.m. Fire alarm sounding at the Hauck House.
  • 5:45 p.m. Information report taken on station
  • 5:04 pm. Traffic hazard in the 330 block of Hill Drive
  • 4:57 p.m. Traffic stop at Sand Pit and Mitchell roads
  • 4:46 p.m. Traffic stop at Beech Street and John Williams Boulevard
  • 4:19 p.m. Civil dispute in the 1320 block of L Street
  • 3:46 p.m. Traffic stop at Beech Street and John Williams Boulevard
  • 3:44 p.m. 911 investigation in the 800 block of 9th Street
  • 3:02 p.m. Traffic stop at 16th and Beech streets. Misty Sanders, 44, Bedford, was cited for speeding
  • 3 p.m. Traffic stop at Shawnee Drive and 29th Street
  • 1:29 p.m. Medical emergency at First Care Clinic on 16th Street
  • 12:40 p.m. 911 investigation at Westview Nursing Home
  • 12:37 p.m. Disabled vehicle at H and 16th streets
  • 12:36 p.m. Medical emergency at General Dollar Store on John Williams Boulevard. An IU Health Hospital ambulance responded
  • 12:35 p.m. Information report taken in the 1300 block of I Street
  • 10:45 a.m. Parking problem in the 1010 block of 18th Street
  • 8:59 a.m. Medical emergency in the 1610 block of Second Street An IU Health Hospital ambulance responded
  • 8:32 a.m. A person was on station to report a battery
  • 8:15 a.m. Medical emergency at First Care Clinic. An IU Health Hospital ambulance responded
  • 8 a.m. Alarm testing in the 630 block of Lincoln Avenue
  • 6:39 a.m. Medical emergency in the 2110 block of 8th Street. IU Health Hospital ambulance responded
  • 2:52 a.m. 911 investigation at State Road 450 and Twin Ponds Road

  • 11:10 a.m. Steve Flynn, 44, 8500 South Fairfax Rd, wanted on a warrant for contempt of court
  • 11:10 a.m. Raymond Stewart, 43, 2008 G St., wanted on three warrants for contempt of court

  • 8:12 a.m. Police were out with a vehicle at State Road 446 and US 50
  • 9:33 a.m. Document service in the 3440 block of Pinhook Road
  • 10:05 a.m. Controlled fire in the 1500 block of Popcorn Road
  • 11:09 a.m. Child custody dispute in the 210 block of North Sixth Street in Mitchell
  • 11:25 a.m. Burglary in the 190 block of Trinton Circle
  • 11:49 a.m. An Army recruiter reporte he would be at Peerless Road and Dive Road until 8 p.m.
  • 12:48 p.m. Citizen assist at 16th Street and Becky Skillman Way. A woman was given a ride to Becky's Place
  • 1:08 p.m. Fire alarm sounding in the 3150 block of Fleenor Road. It was a false alarm
  • 1:50 p.m. Request for animal control to the 150 block of Dale Street. Five dogs were attempting to attack the caller's dog
  • 2:28 p.m. Police made extra patrols in the 3760 block of Dixie Highway
  • 2:39 p.m. Traffic stop at 2980 Rariden Hill
  • 2:43 p.m. Document service in the 140 block of Old School House Lane
  • 2:55 p.m. Report of phone lines down in the roadway at Bud Stipp Road and Payton Road
  • 3:12 p.m. Traffic stop in the 5900 block of State Road 158
  • 3:17 p.m. Report of several power lines down in the road on Peerless Road, north of Bud Ikerd Road
  • 3;17 p.m. Report of a suspicious vehicle at a home in the 150 block of Fayetteville Williams Road and then sped away. The caller fears they have stolen items from the home
  • 4:08 p.m. Police made extra patrols in the 620 block of Fayetteville Williams Road after a child on a bicycle was ran off the road by a vehicle. The child suffered scrapes and bruises but refused medical attention
  • 4:09 p.m. Repossession in the 220 block of Patton Hill Road
  • 4:34 p.m. Tree blocking the roadway on Greer Lane, a mile south of State Road 54
  • 4:59 p.m. Burglary in the 3120 block of Fort Ritner Road. A screen on a window had been cut. Unsure if anything missing at this time
  • 5:08 p.m. Citizen dispute between a male and his landlord in the 80 block of State Road 60 East
  • 5:09 p.m. Police made extra patrols in the 300 block of Church Camp Road
  • 5:12 p.m. 911 call requesting an officer to the 520 block of Skyline Drive. A woman says she has been badly beaten
  • 5:18 p.m. Report of an erratic driver in a flat-bed semi on US 50 East at Shawswick School Road
  • 5:28 p.m. Report of an erratic driver in a small white car southbound on State Road 37 from the Sinclair station
  • 5:37 p.m. Disabled vehicle at State Road 37 at Salt Creek bridge
  • 5:55 p.m. Animal control in the 30 block of King Ridge Road. A pitbull was chasing a motorcycle
  • 6:40 p.m. Alarm sounding in the 210 block of Cassidy Lane. It was a false alarm
  • 6:58 p.m. Document service in the 6150 block of State Road 37
  • 7:11 p.m. An male inmate was transported to a local hospital for treatment
  • 7:18 p.m. Police made extra patrols on Fayetteville Williams Road
  • 7:30 p.m. A resident in the 610 block of South Seventh Street reported her ex-husband who she had a protective order against came to her home and dropped off paperwork
  • 7:40 p.m. Medical emergency in the 7100 block of State Road 158. A 95-year-old was having trouble breathing
  • 7:47 p.m. Medical emergency in the 200 block of O Street. A person was suffering a seizure
  • 7:51 p.m. Traffic stop at US 50 East and East Boyd Lane
  • 8:23 p.m. A resident in the 400 block of Oolitic Road reported she owns property in the 50 block of Herd Lane and the renters were evicted and the renter has made threats against the property
  • 10:23 p.m. Medical emergency in the 100 block of The Woods. A male was suffering chest pains
  • 8:27 p.m. Document service in the 1620 block of Vinegar Hill Road
  • 8:53 p.m. Traffic stop in the 100 block of South 8th Street. The driver was cited for driving while driver's license suspended
  • 9:03 p.m. Medical emergency in the 710 block of V Street. A person was unconscious
  • 9:17 p.m. Medical emergency in the 7570 block of State Road 60 West. a 50-year-old was very sick
  • 9:50 p.m. 911 call from a home in the 260 block of HelMar Drive. A 3-year-old had their arm and head stuck in a helmet and can't get it off
  • 9:53 p.m. Report of a strong odor of sulphur in the 10950 block of US 50 West
  • 11:27 p.m. Medical emergency in the 2010 block of H Street. A 22-year-old female was suffering a diabetic issue

  • 12:31 a.m. Police made extra patrols on Woodville Road
  • 12:32 a.m. Police made extra patrols in Williams
  • 12:35 a.m. Report of a trespassing in the 3320 block of Tunnelton Road. A male was detained and taken to the IU Crisis Care Center for a mental health evaluation
  • 12:42 a.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and Rariden Hill
  • 12:49 a.m. Police made extra patrols at the Fairgrounds
  • 12:57 a.m. Police made extra patrols at Cresthaven Cemetery
  • 1:11 a.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and Teke Burton Drive. A K-9 located drugs in the vehicle
  • 2:17 a.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and Doc Hamilton Boulevard
  • 4:22 a.m. Report of a suspicious vehicle at Farmer Street, north of Liberty Bell Street
