  • 8:35 p.m. Police were out with a person on 7th Street
  • 8:12 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and John Williams Boulevard. A citation was issued
  • 7:36 p.m. Medical emergency in the 1500 block of I Street. An IU Health Hospital ambulance responded

  • 12:55 p.m. Animal problem at Washington Avenue and 27th Street
  • 11:34 a.m. Request for an officer at Mitchell Road and Abel Avenue
  • 11:10 a.m. Open door found at the Elks Club on 15th Street
  • 9:57 a.m. Alarm testing at Stone City Christian Academy
  • 9:42 a.m. Information report taken on station
  • 9:40 a.m. Residential entry in the 630 block of Riley Boulevard
  • 9:28 a.m. School patrols
  • 9:23 a.m. Information report taken in the 1620 block of I Street
  • 8:50 a.m. 911 investigation at the Bedford Post Office on H Street
  • 8:40 a.m. Wanted person in the 620 block of F Street

  • 4:50 a.m. Medical emergency in the 1910 block of I Street. An AMR ambulance responded
  • 2:50 a.m. Medical emergency in the 3000 block of 29th Street. An IU Health Hospital ambulance responded
  • 12:06 a.m. Suspicious person in the 630 block of Riley Boulevard

  • 1:36 p.m. Property damage with a vehicle leaving the scene at J and 6th streets
  • 1:32 p.m. Property damage accident at 15th and L streets. A citation was issued

  • 2:21 p.m. Michael Piercefield, 35, Bloomington, wanted on a warrant in another county, returned for court

  • 11:40 a.m. Dillan Smith, 26, Medora, wanted on a warrant for petition to revoke
  • 8:25 p.m. William Burton, 54, Mitchell, wanted on a warrant in another county

  • 7:06 p.m. Matt Terrell, 45, Heltonville, driving while driver's license suspended

  • 12:55 a.m. Police made extra patrols in the 990 block of Burton Cemetery Road
  • 1 a.m. Police made extra patrols in the 170 block of Burkwood Hills Lane
  • 1:08 a.m. Police made extra patrols in the 4040 block of Old State Road 37 at Cornerstone Worship Center
  • 1:23 a.m. Police made extra patrols at Springville Elementary School,
  • 1:38 a.m. Police made extra patrols in at Fayetteville Elementary School
  • 1:46 a.m. Police made extra patrols in at New Union Christian Church
  • 2 a.m. Police made extra patrols in the 170 block of Burkwood Hills Lane
  • 3:41 a.m. Police made extra patrols in at Leesville Loop
  • 3:49 a.m. Burglary in the 990 block of Burton Cemetery Road. The caller found tire tracks and footprints and his front door open
  • 4:36 a.m. Disabled vehicle on State Road 37 at Mitchell City limits
  • 4:49 a.m. Medical emergency in the 1910 block of I Street. A person was having trouble breathing
  • 5:18 a.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 at Woodville Road
  • 5:45 a.m. Report of several people in a verbal dispute in the 160 block of Tessler Street. The caller says it has been ongoing since before 5 a.m.
  • 6:04 a.m. Request for animal control to the 2950 block of I Street a deer had been hit by a vehicle and was injured and in the middle of the roadway and needs put down. The deer was dead when animal control arrived and was removed from the roadway
  • 6:45 a.m. Burglary at Bass Liquor. A large hole was found in the door and the glass window shattered. It doesn't appear anything is missing. After reviewing video footage it was determined that it isn't possible to identify the suspect in burglary. Suspect was wearing long pants, hooded sweatshirt, cut resistant gloves, full face mask and was carrying a "tactical" molle covered backpack. Owner has been advised how to proceed and advised of extra patrol overnight. Attempted burglary took place between 3:15 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. on Feb. 5
  • 7:34 a.m. Unwanted person in the 510 block of South 8th Street in Mitchell. The caller says a male is beating on her door
  • 8:12 a.m. Police made extra patrols at Walnut Heights
  • 8:15 a.m. Disabled vehicle on State Road 27 at O'Reilly Auto Parts
  • 8:19 a.m. Police made extra patrols on Smith Avenue
  • 8:24 a.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 at Wesley Chapel Road
  • 8:36 a.m. Report of trespassing at Hollace Chastain Road. The caller says people are on his property cutting trees. The Department of Natural Resources responded and they were told to leave and not return
  • 8:48 a.m. Request for animal control to the 100 block of Indiana Avenue because the animals have no food, water or shelter
  • 9:24 a.m. Police made extra patrols at BNL High School
  • 9:29 a.m. Animal control did a follow up investigation in the 130 block of Vinegar Hill Road
  • 9:30 a.m. Domestic fight in the 1230 block of Elm Park Drive. A 15-year-old reported she was in a fight with her mother
  • The teen was upset younger brother kept her up and that mother wouldn't let her see her boyfriend.
  • 9:31 a.m. Police made extra patrols at Springville School,
  • 9:37 a.m. Police made extra patrols at Fayetteville Elementary
  • 9:40 a.m. Police made extra patrols at Fayetteville Elementary
  • 10:37 a.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 at the Sinclair station
  • 11:20 a.m. A resident in the 6880 block of Williams Road reported that someone is attempting to blackmail him
  • 12:07 p.m. Document service in the 4250 block of State Road 54 West at Gearworks
  • 12:30 p.m. Request for animal control to the 920 block of Lawrence Street. A neighbor's dog is running lose all the time
  • 12:39 p.m. Medical emergency in the 2850 block of Old State Road 37. A 78-year-old woman was not feeling well
  • 12:45 p.m. Report of smoke coming from an electrical outlet in the 10 block of Patriot Street
  • 12:45 p.m. Burglary in the 20 block of Iroquois Street. A PlayStation 4 was stolen sometime Saturday night. The caller believes they entered through the doggie door
  • 12:58 p.m. Animal control followed up with the state vet at the humane society
  • 1:46 p.m. Traffic stop at John Williams Boulevard and Beech Street
  • 2:13 p.m. AMR ambulance requested assistance assist in the 30 block of Lincoln Avenue for a lift assist.
  • 2:41 p.m. A female was on station to report identity theft
  • 3:12 p.m. Report of a semi truck broken down on State Road 37 at State Road 60 and traffic is backed up behind him and is requesting an officer for traffic control
  • 3:18 p.m. Request for animal control in the 3240 block of Dixie Highway because of dogs running loose
  • 3:53 p.m. The caller requested to speak to an officer about a possible scam
  • 3:59 p.m. Request for animal control to the 620 block of Lower Leesville Road after the caller reported being attacked by her neighbor's dog and being bitten. Animal control spoke to the owner Dustin Deel and he was issued two citations. He was told to contain his animals and he refuse and was told the dogs would be impounded if not contained
  • 4:12 p.m. Request for animal control to the 310 block of Lafayette Avenue in Oolitic. The caller says the neighbor's German shepherd was running loose and on his property. The neighbor said he would keep the dog up
  • 5:06 p.m. Oven fire in the 960 block of Springville Judah Road
  • 5:21 p.m. Request for animal control in the 130 block of Vinegar Hill Road. A do was running at large. A citation was issued to Gerik Escobar
  • 5:23 p.m. Threats in the 4250 block of State Road 54 West at GearWorks. A man was making threats after refusing to pay a bill to get his vehicle out of storage. The male left the business
  • 5:28 p.m. Police made extra patrols in the 170 block of Burkwood Hills Lane
  • 5:44 p.m. Erratic driver in a Jeep Grand Cherokee on State Road 37 at Main Street in Mitchell
  • 5:56 p.m. Caller request police make extra patrols in the 4240 block of Leesville Road because of a 20-year-old male walking up and down the road and scoping out house. The male is 6-foot tall, skinny in a green hoodie and jeans and has a beard
  • 6:09 p.m. 911 call reporting a child on Bailey Scales Road stopped the caller saying they were not able to find his parents
  • 6:29 p.m. Request for animal control to the trash site on Mill Creek Road. A deer was stuck in a barbwire fence on the northside of the road
  • 6:49 p.m. Officers were at a home in the 230 block of Stevens Lane
  • 6:55 p.m. Theft in the 8990 block of State Road 37. The caller says an associate stole a trail camera and put it in her vehicle
  • 7:06 p.m. Traffic stop at East Oolitic Road and Meridian Street. A citation was issued.
  • 7:55 p.m. Warrant service in the 400 block of West Warren Street
  • 8:31 p.m. Domestic fight in the 400 block of West Warren Street. The caller says she can hear arguing in the apartment above her and things getting thrown around
  • 8:41 p.m. Police made extra patrols in the 990 block of Burton Cemetery Road due to a recent burglary
  • 9:16 p.m. Residential entry in the 230 block of Mundel Estates
  • 9:30 p.m. Medical emergency in the 550 block of South 7th Street. A 16-year-old female had passed out, but was now alert
  • 9:35 p.m. Unsafe shooting in the 280 block of Lafayette Avenue. Police couldn't find anyone shooting, but will make extra patrols
  • 9:49 p.m. Lift assist in the 320 block of S Street. The caller reported her daughter had fell and is unsure if she is injured
  • 10:09 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 60 East and Meridian Road
  • 10:28 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and State Road 60
  • 10:32 p.m. Lift assist needed in the 320 block of S Street
  • 10:35 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and Teke Burton Drive
  • 10:37 p.m. Carbon monoxide alarm sounding in the 430 block of Wade Street
  • 10:48 p.m. Police made extra patrols in the 990 block of Burton Cemetery Road
  • 10:49 p.m. Traffic stop in the 100 block of Teke Burton Drive at AKKA Plastics
  • 10:56 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and Wesley Chapel Road
  • 10:58 p.m. Traffic stop at West Main Street and State Road 37 at the Shell Station in Mitchell

Accidents - Feb. 5

  • 1:09 a.m. Accident with possible injuries at Jackson and Dive roads
  • 6:07 a.m. Property damage accident at Harold Smith Road. A pick up hit a guardrail and the driver left the scene
  • 8:10 a.m. Rear-end collision at State Road 37 at the Oolitic stop light
  • 9:36 a.m. Property damage accident on Tunnelton Road near the airport. A vehicle struck a utility pole. Duke Energey was alerted

Arrests - Feb. 6

  • 3:40 a.m. Paula Chambers, 45, Paragon, wanted on a warrant for petition to revoke
  • 3:40 a.m. David Cobb, 32, Bloominton, wanted on warrants for auto theft, unauthorized entry
  • 3:40 a.m. Jason Robbins, 39, Spencer, wanted on a warrant for identity deception
