  • 7:23 p.m. Medical emergency at Circle K in the 1420 block of 16th Street. An IU Health Hospital ambulance responded
  • 7:01 p.m. Domestic fight in the 10 block of Ludlow Drive
  • 6:39 p.m. 911 call in the 9300 block of State Road 37. Lawrence County Police alerted

  • 3:15 p.m. Property damage at R and 7th streets. A woman was arrested
  • 11:37 a.m. Property damage accident at Becky Skillman Way and 16th Street
  • 11:20 a.m. Property damage accident with a vehicle leaving the scene at Rural King
  • 12:54 a.m. Property damage accident at McDonald's

Arrests - Nov. 30

  • 1:53 p.m. Jamie Burton, 44, Bloomington, three warrants for petition to revoke, warrant for theft
  • 2:15 p.m. Jeremy Stratton, 40, Bloomington, operating a vehicle while intoxicated refusal
  • 6:41 p.m. Jeremy Hall, 38, Mitchell, operating a vehicle while never licensed, wanted on a warrant for failure to appear

Incidents - Nov. 30

  • 12:06 a.m. Request for a welfare check in the 1200 block of West Brook Street in Mitchell. The caller says a 16-year-old male messaged the caller on Facebook and stated he was suicidal. The young male was last seen at the JayC Store in Mitchell. Police located the male and he was ok and will be staying the night with a friend
  • 1:59 a.m. Police made extra patrols in the 9090 block of US 50 East
  • 2:02 a.m. Police made extra patrols Leatherwood Circle,
  • 2:07 a.m. Police made extra patrols in Leatherwood Creek Estates
  • 2:14 a.m. Police made extra patrols at Rocky Creek West,
  • 2:18 a.m. Police made extra patrols at Rocky Creek East
  • 2:44 a.m. Police made extra patrols in the 1820 block of Stonington Road
  • 2:55 a.m. Police made extra patrols on Ramey Drive
  • 3:18 a.m. Citizen assist at McDonald's in Mitchell. An employee found the drive through window open. The building was check and no problem was found
  • 3:31 a.m. Police made extra patrols in Pride Estates
  • 4:59 a.m Request for a welfare check on a possible suicidal male in the 1380 block of Popcorn Road after the male did not show up for work
  • 6:43 a.m. Report of an erratic driver in a red Jeep on State Road 37 at Avoca
  • 6:55 a.m. Police made extra patrols in the 20 block of South Hill Drive
  • 7:14 a.m. Report of a suspicious blue car in the 8500 block of Tunnelton Road. An elderly female driver seems to be lost. The woman was wanting to head to Leesville
  • 7:23 a.m. Police made school patrols at Lincoln School
  • 7:54 a.m. Police made school patrols at BNL
  • 8:16 a.m. A resident in the 2310 block of 30th Street reported the battery was stolen out of his truck
  • 8:20 a.m. Report of unsafe shooting in the 1680 block of Pumphouse Road
  • 8:26 a.m. Vandalism in the 500 block of West Main Street in Mitchell. Someone ran into the bar with a vehicle
  • 8:49 a.m. Request for a welfare check on a possible suicidal female in the 1990 block of Buddah Bypass. The female was fine and had no intention of harming herself
  • 9:10 a.m. Request for animal control to the 1210 block of Port Williams Road. A walker coon hound was taken to the humane society
  • 9:25 a.m. A person was on station about a trespassing order
  • 9:35 a.m. A landlord requested an officer to go with her to serve an eviction notice at a home in the 720 block of I Street
  • 9:43 a.m Report of a male driving without a valid driver's license in the 840 block of Coxton Road
  • 10 a.m. Controlled fire in the 590 block of Stars Boulevard
  • 10:57 a.m. Request for a welfare check on a female at Mitchell Manor
  • 10:57 a.m. Report of a juvenile at BNL High School with marijuana
  • 11:19 a.m. Report of a semi on State Road 37 at Wesley Chapel Church about to loose a load with pipe
  • 11:30 a.m. A resident in the 7790 block of State Road 58 East reported credit card fraud
  • 11:34 a.m. Police made extra patrols on the Milwaukee Trail
  • 11:51 a.m. A resident in the 170 block of Teddy Bird Lane called Wednesday to report a vehicle had hit her mailbox and left the scene. Vehicle parts are still on the scene. She says she left a message on the sheriff's voicemail yesterday about the incident. An officer responded and took photos
  • 11:57 a.m. Domestic fight in the 480 block of Duncan Bend Lane. The dispute was between a female and her boyfriend. The male had locked her out of the home and she had to break in by breaking a window. The male left the home and the female is staying. Both have been advised by officers
  • 12:23 p.m. Request for an officer to the jail after officers discovered an inmate that was arrested on Nov. 28 provided a false identification at the time of their arrest and booking in process. Mitchell Police will be handling the case
  • 12:26 p.m Report of about 20 brass vases stole from the Cresthaven Mausoleum Chapel
  • 12:33 p.m. Report of a suspicious vehicle in the 410 block of Old US 50 East at Fairview Christian Church. The vehicle was tagged for towing
  • 12:53 p.m. Medical emergency in the 640 block of Stonington Road
  • 2:12 p.m. Warrant service in the 70 block of River Road
  • 2:22 p.m. An officer following his DARE Class came out of the building in the 220 block of Old Farm Road and found a male and female arguing over a child. The two have joint custody and the female was wanting to take the child but today was not her day to have the child. The officer told the female he could not intervene without authorization from the court. The female says she was going to contact the Department of Child Services and the Sheriff to make a complaint
  • 2:43 p.m. Erratic driver at Mitchell and Sand Pit roads
  • 2:51 p.m. Police made extra patrols on the Milwaukee Trail
  • 2:56 p.m. Domestic fight in the 2110 block of North Pike Road. The caller says they went to the home to pick up a male to take shopping. The male's wife and son were causing a disturbance and wouldn't let the male leave. They were finally able to leave after they discovered police were on the way
  • 3:11 p.m. Medical emergency at Wendy's in Mitchell. A person had fallen
  • 3:15 p.m. An inmate was charged with identity theft.
  • 3:30 p.m. Traffic stop on North Seventh Street and Hancock Avenue
  • 3:39 p.m. Traffic stop on Hancock Avenue and Teke Burton Drive. The driver was cited for speeding
  • 4:02 p.m. Medical emergency in the 11370 block of State Road 58 East. A 85-year-old woman was possible hallucinating and was not feeling well
  • 4:11 p.m. A male requested an officer to Roxie's Variety Store in Mitchell because he believes some knives in the store window are ones that were stolen from him. The store was able to provide documentation that the knives were not stolen
  • 4:19 p.m. Report of an erratic driver in a light blue Kia SUV at State Road 37 and Avoca Road. The vehicle is driving with their hazard blinkers on
  • 5:05 p.m. Police made extra patrols in the 120 block of Brick Street in Springville
  • 5:15 p.m. Report of a suspicious person in the 670 block of Guthrie Road. A black male was standing in the driveway starring at the roadway. The caller's little brother says the male attempted to break into the house. The male was standing at the door when the caller opened it. It was someone from White Oak Construction
  • 5:30 p.m. Report of an erratic driver on State Road 37 and State Road 58 West
  • 5:31 p.m. Medical emergency in the 2220 block of 29th Street. A person had fallen out of bed
  • 5:42 p.m. Traffic stop at North Meridian Road and Maier Avenue
  • 5:44 p.m. Disabled vehicle at Rariden Hill Road. The vehicle had a flat tire
  • 5:49 p.m. Erratic driver in a red Jeep with a black top on State Road 37 and Old State Road 37 at the Judah exit
  • 5:55 p.m. Disabled vehicle on State Road 37, north of Avoca
  • 6:42 p.m. Report of debris on State Road 37 and US 50 West. The caller says they have hit something either a wooden board or concrete and it damaged his vehicle
  • 7 p.m. Domestic fight in the 10 block of Ludlow Drive
  • 7:13 p.m. Report of suspicious vehicle on North Third and West Brook streets. A female was having trouble getting into her vehicle
  • 7:33 p.m. Agency assist in the 220 block of North Fourth Street. Mitchell Police were needed to assist with a search
  • 7:42 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 at the river bridge
  • 8:04 p.m. Traffic stop at Hoosiers Avenue and Third Street in Oolitic
  • 8:41 p. m. Police made extra patrols in the 1010 block of Bishop Boulevard. The principal requested extra patrols after the game finished up because some parents seem to be upset and are in the parking lot cursing
  • 8:52 p.m. Police made extra patrols in Huron
  • 9:03 p.m. Traffic stop at Hoosier Avenue in front of the middle school in Oolitic
  • 9:19 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 60 East at Puds Used Cars
  • 9:19 p.m. Report of a person trying to get into a home in the 910 block of Walnut Street in Oolitic. The caller says someone is attempting to get into her neighbor's house. Police found the back door kicked in. A red S-10 with Indiana University plates was seen leaving the area
  • 9:23 p.m. Police made extra patrols in Zelma and the Norman area
  • 9:30 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and Woodville Road
  • 9:33 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and Stevens Lane
  • 9:34 p.m. Traffic stop at Hoosier Avenue and Fifth Street in Oolitic
  • 10:04 p.m. Traffic stop at Hoosier Avenue and Fifth Street in Oolitic
  • 10:10 p.m. Suspicious person in the alley near the Mitchell Dollar Store . A woman reported a male wearing camo nearly knocked her down and then began threatening her
  • 10:13 p.m. Agency assist in the 2550 block of Breckenridge Road. The male fled on foot after an accident. The male is wearing a hoodie, pants and has dark hair. The vehicle crashed had been stolen. Police were unable to locate the male
  • 10:18 p.m. Protective order violation in the 220 block of North Fourth Street in Mitchell. A male says a female is violating a restraining order he has against her
  • 10:38 p.m. Police made extra patrols on Indian Trails
  • 11:42 p.m. Disabled vehicle on Doc Hamilton Boulevard, east of Rabbitsville Road. The motorist had help on the way

  • 10:15 p.m. Shane Mathies, 23, Bedford, possession of meth, possession of a narcotic drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a common nuisance, carrying a handgun, trafficking an inmate
