5:29 a.m. An employee at Huckleberry Bakery on Main Street requested an officer to watch as she entered the bakery.

8:45 a.m. Report of a juvenile with tobacco at the Mitchell Junior High School.

11:49 a.m. Medical emergency on South Ninth Street. A man reported he was sick. The man then called and said he found his heart medical and didn't need help.

1:15 p.m. Report of a fight on South Ninth Street. The caller reported several kids were beating on another kid. Police say the group was not fighting but arguing over a tree limb that fell and tore down a power line.

2:04 p.m. Report of an intoxicated man on Warren Street. The caller reported she has rental property that and has someone coming to look at the property and doesn't want the man causing a problem. She requested extra patrols.

3:12 p.m. A woman was on station to report a theft.

6:04 p.m. Report of juveniles throwing rocks and wood at his home and garage in the 300 block of North Sixth Street. Police spoke to the juveniles parents.

7:16 p.m. Report of a civil dispute in the 500 block of South Fifth Street at the old Foam Craft building.

7:55 p.m. A resident in the 500 block of South Fifth Street reported his yellow and orange cockerspaniel mix got loose.

10:35 p.m. A resident reported that a juvenile was texting her and threatening to harm herself. The juvenile's father was contacted and took the teen to the hospital for treatment.

9:03 p.m. Report of a theft in the 500 block of Duncan Bend Road. The caller reported they had witnesses that saw the neighbor stealing their mail. Police spoke to both parties.

6 p.m. Report of a missing 13-year-old male missing from the 60 block of Old Needmore School Road. The child was last seen at 4:20 p.m. After police spoke to some of the teen's friends the boy was located and returned to his foster parents.

9:05 a.m. A resident in the 100 block of Dale Street reported that while he was asleep someone had entered his home through a kitchen window. Police say no entry was made however window has been broken.

2:14 p.m. An employee at Chicago's Pizza reported they locked their keys in the vehicle. Officers opened the vehicle.

4:11 p.m. A motorist at Terry's Station reported they had locked their keys in the vehicle at the pumps. The vehicle was unlocked.

4:20 p.m. Report of a person in a red Dodge truck and a red car racing on State Road 60 West. The caller reported they could not get the license numbers because the vehicles were traveling too fast. They were last seen traveling east toward CVS.

5:00 p.m. A resident in the 200 block of East Grissom Avenue reported finding a push mower in their yard.

5:27 p.m. Report of two small playing in the drainage ditch on Fifth Street, between Warren and Oak streets near the railroad tracks. Police spoke to the children and they won't play there anymore. At 7:47 p.m. The children were back in the drainage ditch. Officers again spoke to the kids.

6:29 p.m. Report of an 8-year-old causing a disturbance and out of control. No address was listed on the log. Police spoke to the child.

7:03 p.m. A woman was on station to report they had lost a black and green phone today near Thelma's Beauty Shop.


7:25 p.m. Officers made a traffic stop at Warren and Second Street. The female driver was arrested.

7:27 p.m. Report that a 90-year-old woman had fallen and hit her head on the porch. No address was listed on the log. A Seals ambulance and Mitchell VFD responded.

10:17 p.m. Report of a disturbance at the railroad tracks on Hancock Avenue. Police were unable to locate a problem.

April 18

12:25 a.m. A resident in the 300 block of Oak Street requested the fire department to check their furnace because they could smell smoke and feel heat. Mitchell VFD responded. There was no fire, but the homeowner will have the furnace checked in the morning.

1:50 p.m. Report of an abandoned silver-passenger vehicle parked in the middle of Harrodsburg Road, south of Moore Lane. The vehicle was towed.

1:43 p.m. A resident in the 100 block of Treslar Street reported a man, who was bleeding from his head, came to his home wanting them to call police because he had been assaulted by his wife.

12:10 p.m. Report of a stray dog in the 500 block of Grandma Brown Road.

9:36 p.m. Report of a fire in an attic at Smith's Western Wear on Washboard Road. Marshall, Oolitic, Perry VFDs responded.

2:49 a.m. Report of trespassing and a truck stuck in a yard in the 900 block of Peerless Road. The driver left on foot. The truck was towed.

1:15 a.m. Report of a civil dispute in the 600 block of Hayes Road. A husband was wanting his wife's 32-year-old son to move out of the home.

12:36 a.m. Medical emergency in the 30 block of Pleasant Lane. A woman had fallen. A Seals ambulance and Marion Volunteer Fire Department responded.

April 14

11:13 p.m. A resident in the 500 block of Trogden Lane reported seeing LED lights in her yard. Police will make extra patrols.

11:10 p.m. Medical emergency in the 700 block of Curry Street in Mitchell. A Seals ambulance and Mitchell VFD responded.

10:35 p.m. Report of a civil dispute in Spencer. The caller reported recieving threatening text messages and the resident where his children were was unfit. Owen County Police and CPS were contacted.

10:22 p.m. Request of a welfare check on children at a home in the 1600 block of Vinegar Hill Road. This is an on-going problem. The father was home with the children.

9:55 p.m. Report of a burglary at a home in the 200 block of Third Street in Oolitic. Someone was in the home and shouldn't be.

9:32 p.m. Report of stray dogs in the 100 block of Langdon View.

9:21 p.m. Request for extra patrols in the 200 block of Perry Street because of speeding vehicles.

9:03 p.m. Report of a person in a light-colored Explorer attempting to sell items to a resident in the 200 block of Burkwood Hills Lane. The caller reported the person attempted to force their way into the caller's home. Police stopped the vehicle and advised the person they needed to attempt to sell their goods during daylight hours.

7:16 p.m. Report of a 13-year-old girl out of control and fighting with her mother in the 100 block of Trenton Circle. The girl was throwing items, destroying the home and had hit and pulled her mother's hair.

6:58 p.m. Report that a 26-year-old man had been bitten by a dog in the 1100 block of Palestine Road.

6:30 p.m. Request for extra patrols because of trespasser who had made threats to the property owner in the 100 block of Hillbilly Holler Road.

4:56 p.m. A person was on station to report identity theft.

4:16 p.m. Report of unsafe shooting on Ditney Ridge Road. A man was shooting into the creek.

3:44 p.m. Report of a dog loose in the caller's yard and barking in the 3300 block of Judah Springville Road.

3:35 p.m. Report of a neighbor's trash in a field in the 5800 block of Ind. 158.

3:31 p.m. A caller reported her mother had taken bottles of pills. The mother then showed the caller the bottles with the pills still inside. The caller would not give the dispatcher their name or address after realizing her mother didn't take the pills.

1:01 p.m. Report of a tractor parked in the driveway of a home that was sold in a tax sale in the 7200 block of Tunnelton Road. The caller was attempting to find the owner of the tractor.

12:50 p.m. Report of an erratic driver in a maroon Honda at Ind. 446 and U.S. 50 East.

11:53 a.m. Report of stray dogs and one of them being aggressive in the 200 block of Middle Avenue.

11:17 a.m. Report of a domestic fight between the caller's daughter and her boyfriend in the 400 block of North Shawswick Station Road. The boyfriend was arrested because he was wanted on a warrant.

11:01 a.m. Report of a burglary in the 100 block of The Woods.

9:30 a.m. Report of a civil dispute over a subdivision covenant regarding livestock in the 800 block of Rocky Creek West.

9:05 a.m. Report of a dog killing cats in the 1400 block of Kings Ridge Road.
