Incidents - Feb. 23

  • 12:36 a.m. Request for extra patrols in the 2670 block of U.S. 50 East after the caller received threats
  • 12:33 a.m. Air Security Monitoring requested an officer to go to the Virgil I. Grissom Municipal Airport to check for a plane in trouble or downed. The agency says they received an emergency beacon going off from a high altitude aircraft 85 nautical miles of Fort Knox. They are calling all airports in that area looking for an aircraft in trouble. Police were asked if they find a downed or crashed plane to call them.
