11:48 p.m. Report of an intoxicated driver in a blue Toyota traveling southbound on Ind. 37. Officers stopped the vehicle and the driver was fine.

11:47 p.m. A resident in the 500 block of McFadden Ridge Road reported several vehicle was driving up and down the road and throwing trash into their yard and honking their horns. The caller requested extra patrols.

11:36 p.m. A caller reported their son was hit by his grandmother at a home on Leatherwood Road.

10:40 p.m. Report of a horse loose in a field just south of Tunnelton Road near Iroquois Street.

10:10 p.m. Report of a domestic fight in the 100 block of Lost Lane. The verbal fight was about a teen doing their chores.

10:05 p.m. Report of a suspicious vehicle at Superior Small Engines.

9:40 p.m. Report of an unattended fire in the 1600 block of Logan Donica Road. Marshall Volunteer Fire Department responded.

9 p.m. A man was on station reporting he was being threatened.

8:59 p.m. Report of a fight in the 1700 block of Blue Springs Cavern Road.

8:54 p.m. Report of an attempted breaking and entering to a home in the 1400 block of Noe Road.

7:47 p.m. Request for extra patrol because of recent thefts in the 100 block of Airy Hill Lane.

7:40 p.m. Officers assisted the probation department at a home in the 400 block of Spice Valley Road.

7:03 p.m. Medical Emergency in the 50 block of Airy Hill Lane. IU Health Hospital ambulance and Perry and Marshall VFDs were alerted.

6:24 p.m. Floyd County Children Services request an officer to assist with removing children from a home in the 800 block of Woodsferry Road. The children were given to their father.

6:23 p.m. Report of the theft of a tool box and saw from a home in the 100 block of Trogden Lane. A gray van was scene in the driveway.

5:01 p.m. Medical emergency in the 3100 block of South I Street for a lift assist. Shawswick VFD and IU Health Hospital ambulance responded.

5 p.m. A man in a red Corvette was driving through the Mystic Lake area and harassing people and the caller believes he was possibly drunk.

4:42 p.m. Medical emergency in the 900 block of Gun Smith School Road. A man was suffering chest pain. Shawswick VFD and an IU Health Hospital responded.

1:44 p.m. Report of a possible intoxicated driver in a blue Chevrolet truck traveling north on Ind. 37 from Speedway.

12:47 p.m. Report of a dump truck causing a traffic hazard in the 600 block of Coxton Road at the railroad crossing. County highway workers were working on the roadways.

12:13 p.m. Medical emergency in the 1200 block of Ridge Road. An IU Health Hospital ambulance and William and Indian Creek VFDs were alerted.

12:02 p.m. Report of an erratic driver in a blue Jeep on Ind. 37 at Speedway.

3:09 p.m. Police received several calls about juveniles riding big wheels and other toy cars down by the overpass on Doc Hamilton Boulevard. Officers located the children and their grandparents were advised and said they would take care of the problem.

4:04 p.m. The manager of Mitchell Inn reported that a customer that has stayed for two days is refusing to leave the motel. The manager was told this was a civil matter.

7:28 p.m. A resident in the 500 block of Ross Street reported a tree limb fell on their vehicle.

8:13 p.m. Report of a stray dog at Persimmon Park Apartment.

8:17 p.m. Request for a welfare check on a man who is walking up the street in the area of Seventh and Frank streets. The male seems disoriented. The man was just taking a walk and was okay.

8:53 p.m. A resident in the 500 block of Vine Street wanted to speak to an officer.

9:22 p.m. A resident in the 1300 block of North Ninth Street requested extra patrol.

10:12 p.m. Report of loud banging and a chain saw running in the area of North Eighth and Ninth streets. Police spoke with the individuals and they will stop working for the night.

10:22 p.m. Request for extra patrols at Camelot Courts because an unwanted woman who the caller has a protection on keeps showing up at their home.

10:58 p.m. A woman was on station about an ongoing custody dispute. The other parent has custody of the children.

August 1

12:15 a.m. Bloomington Police have an older woman possibly from Mitchell that is very confused. The woman was driving a silver HHR and was lost. Bloomington police called back at 12:24 a.m. and reported they had contacted the woman's daughter.

11:15 p.m. Domestic fight in the 1400 block of Dive Road. A man called and wanted to go back home after an earlier fight with his wife and give her back her cell phone and vehicle. The couple will stay in separate rooms.

10:53 p.m. Domestic fight in the 1400 block of Dive Road. A woman reported her husband burst into the bedroom and took her cell phone and saw messages from another man she had been seeing and then took her vehicle and left.

10:34 p.m. Report that several people were attempting to break down her front door in the 1800 block of O Street. Bedford Police responded.

10:03 p.m. A man requested a welfare check on a woman in the 1400 block of Dive Road because her husband is threatening her. The woman was fine.

9:54 p.m. Report of an erratic driver in a red Chevrolet truck on Ind. 37 in the southbound lane at the Monroe/Lawrence county lines.

9:21 p.m. Domestic fight in the 300 block of West Warren Street.

5:08 p.m. A resident in the 300 block of North Eighth Street requested an officer. Mitchell police were alerted.

5:04 p.m. Medical emergency reporting a child was choking on candy at a home in the 140 block of Ind. 158. While on the phone the candy dislodged and the child was now breathing and drinking. The caller denied medical assistance.

4:44 p.m. Report of a stray dog in the 2800 block of Stonington Road.

3:05 p.m. Theft from a vehicle in the 260 block of Dogwood Acres Drive.

2:08 p.m. Report of an aggressive dog in the 2400 block of Mount Pleasant Road.

11:40 a.m. Report that a large puppy was dumped in the 2400 block of Mount Pleasant Road and the puppy is causing a problem.

11:05 a.m. Report of vandalism in the 900 block of Wilcox Road. A landlord reported the renter was destroying the home. They were advised it was a civil problem.

8:22 a.m. Report of a fire alarm sounding at Bedford North Lawrence High School. Pleasant Run and Shawswick VFDs responded. It was a false alarm, officials were working on the alarm system.

8:15 a.m. Report of cattle in a front yard in the 800 block of Spencer Pike Road.

8:05 a.m. Medical emergency in the 40 block of Rainey Drive. A man fell and now can't walk. A seals ambulance responded.

4:42 a.m. Report of a suspicious man lying on the side of Ind. 37 in the southbound lane with a flashlight. Police found the man who told them he was walking home. The man was given a ride to Johnny's Junxion where he met someone who would give him a ride home.

7:27 p.m. Medical emergency on South Fifth Street. A man had fallen and cut his head and was now having breathing problems. A Seals ambulance and Mitchell VFD responded.

7:28 p.m. Water line repairs were completed at Frank Street and Third and Fourth streets.

7:50 p.m. Report of a tree limbs in the roadway on Seventh Street near city hall and the basketball court.

7:50 p.m. A woman reported that a female driver in a 2001 white Honda Accord pulled in his drive and ran over his dog and is now headed toward Mitchell McDonald's and told police the woman does not have a driver's license.

9:24 p.m. A resident on West Warren Street reported she had been battered. The woman was intoxicated and was told to file charges when she sobered up. The male left the home.

9:35 p.m. Report of a domestic fight between neighbors on both sides of the road on Rabbitsville Road. Those involved were advised.

10:28 p.m. A resident in the 1100 block of West Oak Street reported a suspicious man setting in the alley behind the caller's home. The male lives near by and there was no problem. However the caller phoned back at 10:34 p.m. saying they are concerned the man does not live in the area. Police will make extra patrols.

11:04 p.m. A resident on West Main Street request to speak to an officer.

12:15 a.m. A resident on North Sixth Street reported someone was knocking on her door. Police checked the area and could not find anyone. Then again at 3:01 a.m. with the same complaint. Police could find no problem.

12:29 a.m. Medical emergency on West Hancock Avenue. A 17-year-old male was having trouble breathing. A Seals ambulance and Mitchell VFD responded.

1:30 a.m. Medical emergency at Mitchell Manor. A Seals ambulance responded.

1:33 a.m. Report of a burglary alarm sounding at Ben Franklin Ace Hardware. The building checked secure.

6:14 p.m. A resident in the 500 block of Old Union Church Road reported that a male threatened to kill her animals.

5:26 p.m. Report of a domestic fight between the caller's son and his girlfriend in the 3300 block of Port William Road. The caller reported the two are throwing rocks at each other. DCS was also notified. Neither wanted to file charges and two children went with the parents and the others stayed with their grandparents.

12:14 p.m. Medical emergency on State Road 337 in Orange County. A man had fallen and can't get up. Orange County Sheriff's Department was notified.

11:52 a.m. A resident in the 1500 block of Dixie Highway reported their vehicle was stolen. Police say it was a civil matter and the caller was advised how to handle the situation.

11:37 a.m. A resident in Pride Estates reported their daughter was intoxicated on drugs and she was attempting to get her in a vehicle for treatment. The daughter had also battered a male.

10:52 a.m. Medical emergency in the 9600 block of Cale Road in Trinity Springs. An elderly woman was having medical issues. An ambulance and Williams and Indian Creek VFDs were alerted.

10:05 a.m. Report of the theft of some gas from a work truck in the 3000 block of Avoca Eureka Road.

9:08 a.m. DCS request an officer to meet them at Farmer's Market so they could conduct a home visit.

7:06 a.m. Medical emergency at the JayC gas pumps. A man fell over while pumping gas and was injured. An IU Health Hospital ambulance and Bedford Police responded.

6:21 a.m. A resident in the 1400 block of Donica Church Road reported that every morning there is a woman running and she is causing a traffic hazard. The caller requested extra patrols.

5:14 p.m. An officer picked up a woman and child found on Ind. 158 and transported them to a home in the 900 block of High Tower Road. The woman told police she had been in a domestic fight. Soon after police received a call reporting the man she was fighting with was in a black S-10 and parking in the driveway of the High Tower home.

12:10 p.m. A woman was on station requesting assistance getting her daughter back from Ohio. She reported that her exhusband is making threats to "blow her brains out." She was advised there was nothing police could do about the threats and the custody of her daughter was a civil dispute and she would have to file paperwork with the courts.
