  • 6:48 a.m. John Rogers, 25, 3313 Coveyville Rd., wanted on a warrant in another county

  • 1:52 a.m. Carl Reynolds, 20, driving without a driver's license

Incidents - April 28

  • 12:50 a.m. Medical emergency in the 1920 block of Plaza Drive. A 56-year-old female had fallen. An AMR ambulance responded
  • 12:32 a.m. Report of a suspicious person outside of a home in the 210 block of South Second Street. Police were unable to find anyone, but will make extra patrols
  • 12:32 a.m. An officer stopped a vehicle on State Road 37, south of the Oolitic stoplight for dragging a chain behind the vehicle. The driver was told to correct the problem
  • 12:10 a.m. A resident in the 3220 block of Laurann lane reported receiving a suicidal text message from a juvenile female in the 1500 block of Motocross Road. Police checked on the juvenile who was fine and said she was not going to harm herself

  • 9:31 p.m. Medical emergency in the 290 block of Teddy Bird Lane. A male was sick. An IU Health Hospital ambulance and Indian Creek VFD responded
  • 9:27 p.m. A resident in the 120 block of North 6th Street reported residents in another apartment were making a lot of noise, so much so that she can't speak to her own guests. Police spoke with those in the other apartment
  • 9:27 p.m. Erratic driver in a red pickup truck all over the roadway in the southbound lane of State Road 37. The truck almost struck the river bridge
  • 9:02 p.m. A woman went to a home in the 400 block of West Warren Street to bring her mother some items and her mother hit her. The mother was also making suicidal comments. Police spoke to the mother who said she was not suicidal. A woman was arrested on two outstanding warrants
  • 8:53 p.m. Disabled vehicle smoking in the northbound lane of State Road 37 at the Monroe County line. Monroe County officials were alerted
  • 8:15 p.m. Report of a small child playing in the roadway in the 1970 block of Rariden Hill Road with no adults around. Police were unable to locate the child
  • 7:48 p.m. A resident in the 5550 block of State Road 446 requested to speak to an officer about phone fraud
  • 7:35 p.m. Alarm sounding at Pritchett Brothers Construction on Briar Wood lane. It was a false alarm
  • 7:31 p.m. Request for an officer to the Bedford McDonald's after a mother was having a problem with a juvenile female. The mother reported her 15-year-old daughter has refused to return home for three days and has been staying with her grandparents. The mother had contacted probation and they suggested she have the daughter taken to the youth shelter in Bloomington. The mother has made arrangements to do that, but the daughter it refusing to go with her. The mother was going to have another relative see if they could get the daughter to meet her at McDonald's where the mother works when she gets off at 10 p.m. and then transport her to the facility. Police will stand by if the female refused to go with the mother
  • 7:13 p.m. Request for a welfare check on an elderly woman in the 3400 block of Mundy Lane, who had fuel delivered today but now her furnace will not run. Police went to the home and found three people there working on the furnace
  • 6:49 p.m. Medical emergency in the 610 block of West Warren Street. A person had been bitten by a dog. An AMR ambulance and Mitchell VFD responded
  • 6:38 p.m. Medical emergency in the 190 block of Jr. Phillips Drive. A female had taken more than 70 muscle relaxers. An IU Health Hospital and Williams and Indian Creek VFDs responded
  • 6:18 p.m. A resident in the 120 block of Liberty Street reported there was mud in their water line. The person was told to call the water department
  • 6:07 p.m. Lift assist needed in the 210 block of North Sixth Street. An AMR ambulance and Mitchell VFD responded
  • 6:04 p.m. Civil dispute between relatives in the 2740 block of Maul Ridge Road
  • 5:09 p.m. A male was on station about a child custody issue. The mother was refusing to allow him to see his children and he has court papers stating he can have them
  • 4:54 p.m. Report of an erratic driver in a black Honda Pilot tailgating the caller's vehicle southbound on State Road 37, near State Road 54
  • 4:14 p.m. Stone City Collision reported a male came on their lot and drove off with a vehicle they had just towed at the request of Oolitic
  • 4:05 p.m. Stray boxer mix in the 1790 block of Hollace Chastain Road
  • 4:01 p.m. Two stray black labs running loose in the 5380 block of State Road 158
  • 3:47 p.m. A female juvenile reported that her mother's ex-boyfriend had approached her at the high school The female ran back into the school and told a teacher about the incident. The mother will bring the female to the station to file a report
  • 3:25 p.m. Report of a woman walking up and down State Road 450 looking inside of mailboxes.
  • 3:11 p.m. A resident in the 9250 block of State Road 37 reported an unwanted male squatting at one of her properties. She will call police when the man returns
  • 3:08 p.m. A resident in the 12460 block of Tunnelton Road reported a male keeps riding a 4-wheeler up and down the roadway
  • 3:02 p.m. Lift assist in the 210 block of North Sixth Street. An AMR ambulance and Mitchell VFD responded
  • 2:48 p.m. Officers found a broken window in a door at the United Methodist Church on Tunnelton Road. Church officials were aware of the damage
  • 2:23 p.m. A resident in the 2880 block of Stonington Road reported that someone broke in and stole 500 to 800 DVDs
  • 2:22 p.m. Report that someone placed large nails in the city-owned warehouse parking lot in the 890 block of West Frank Street
  • 2:10 p.m. Medical emergency at the Hauck House. A 55-year-old female was suffering chest pains. An IU Health Hospital ambulance responded
  • 1:54 p.m. Civil dispute over a motorcycle title between a male in the first block of Walnut Street and a Monroe County business
  • 1:30 p.m. Report of five dogs in a yard in the 160 block of Dogwood Acres
  • 1:15 p.m. Medical emergency at the Dollar General Store in Oolitic. A male had passed out on the floor and was turning purple. An IU Health Hospital ambulance and Indian Creek VFD responded
  • 1:06 p.m. Medical emergency at FiberTech. A male was suffering an asthma attack. An AMR ambulance and Marion VFD responded
  • 12:56 p.m. Medical emergency in the 900 block of Ridge Dale Drive. A 59-year-old woman was suffering chest pains. An AMR ambulance responded
  • 12:45 p.m. Domestic fight in the 100 block of 9th Street in Oolitic. A woman reported a male had ran over her foot
  • 12:21 p.m. A woman in the 70 block of Robinhood Lane reported her husband had been arrested and had taken her car keys and other items before he was arrested
  • 12:12 p.m. Pole barn fire in the 1360 block of North Pike Road. Marshall, Perry, Oolitic, Indian Creek VFDS responded along with TOPES and an IU Health Hospital ambulance. The fire was reported under control at 1:02 p.m.
  • 11:47 a.m. Report of a dog roaming along State Road 158, about a 1 1/2 miles from State Road 37
  • 11:41 a.m. Report of a vehicle in the middle of the roadway on N Street between Second and Third streets
  • 11:36 a.m. Report of three small aggressive dogs loose in the 3890 block of State Road 446
  • 10:38 a.m. A resident in the 2080 block of Stonington Road reported that someone had attempted to open his mail. The postal inspector was alerted
  • 10:32 a.m. Report of one or two litters of kittens in the insulation of a crawl space of a home in the 120 block of Hayes Road
  • 10:22 a.m. Medical emergency in the 290 block of Teddy Bird Lane. A man had fallen. An AMR ambulance responded
  • 10:09 a.m. Vandalism to a home in the 4790 block of State Road 60 East. Someone had thrown a rock through the glass of a rear door. Police will make extra patrols
  • 10:09 a.m. Two stray dogs were loose in the 1730 block of Fayetteville Williams Road
  • 10 a.m. Police made a traffic stop at O'Reilly's Auto Parts in Mitchell. A male was arrested on drug charges
  • 9:40 a.m. Burglary in the 2180 block of Stumphole Bridge Road. The incident happened on Wednesday and medication was missing
  • 9:30 a.m. Report of a cow stuck over a log in a fence in the 3250 block of State Road 58 East. The caller reported the cow had been there for two days. Police were unable to find a trapped cow
  • 8:49 a.m. A dog had killed a cat and now was going after another one in the 1360 block of North Pike Road
  • 7:56 a.m. A caller reported there was a car of several people in it shooting heroin on John Kern Lane around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday night. Police will make extra patrols
  • 7:35 a.m. Cattle were loose in the 5980 block of Pinhook Road
  • 3:26 a.m. A resident in the 3310 block of Coveyville Road reported their son was intoxicated and had taken their vehicle. Police made a traffic stop on Hillcrest Way and a male fled on foot. The parents refused to file charges. The male was arrested. An IU Health Hospital ambulance was called to the scene because police believed the male had swallowed something as he was fleeing

  • 10:52 p.m. Burglary in the 900 block of Ridge Dale Road. Tools were stolen from inside a home. Police searched for a suspect and the tools at the Mark III Motel
  • 10:36 p.m. Suspicious vehicle at the Lawrence County Recreation Park in Springville. Police were unable to find the vehicle
  • 10:23 p.m. A deputy assisted Mitchell Police transport a female to a home in the 500 block of Meridian Street from the Orange County line
  • 9:41 p.m. A resident in the 5100 block of Old Farm Road reported their neighbor's dog was chained outside and barking
  • 9:18 p.m. Report of a juvenile boy climbing the water tower at Brook and 14th streets in Mitchell. The boys says if someone tries to stop him he will jump
  • 9:02 p.m. A resident in the 10 block of Sugar Hill Addition reported someone walked up to their bedroom window and knocked on it

  • 5:50 p.m. A resident in the 310 block of Hoosier Avenue reported she was mowing the yard and the neighbor complained to her about how she was doing it
  • 5:46 p.m. Report of an erratic driver in a beige Ford Expedition northbound on State Road 37 at the Orange County line.
  • 5:13 p.m. Disabled vehicle in the southbound lane of State Road 37, north of 16th Street
  • 5:11 p.m. An employee at the County Complex reported a male had threatened to drive through the gates at the transfer station because it had closed early
  • 5:10 p.m. A resident in the 510 block of West Oak Street reported someone had broken into their home. They were unsure if anything was taken. Police will make extra patrols
  • 4:56 p.m. A resident in the 810 block of Quail Run Road reported a dog is attacking a man. An AMR ambulance responded. The dog was taken to the White River Humane Society for quarantine. The owner, 39-year-old Brandon Vincent was cited for animal at large and harboring a non-immunized animal. The owner says they will go to the vet tomorrow to get the immunization records
  • 4:30 p.m. A Samsung Galaxy was stolen from Bedford North Lawrence High School
  • 4 p.m. Large tree across the roadway in the 200 block of Hidden Falls Camp Road
  • 3:59 p.m. Erratic driver in a blue Jeep or Trailblaizer traveling southbound on State Road 37 from Judah
  • 3:44 p.m. Alarm sounding at the Work of God church on Wesley Chapel Road. Workers set off the alarm
  • 2:52 p.m. Report of a suspicious car parked at the back of the church in the 4550 block of Bartlettsville Road. The vehicle has been parked there for several days
  • 2:03 p.m. A male was at a home in the 210 block of Woodville Road visiting their cousin when he was shoved by another male at the home
  • 1:50 p.m. A resident in the 40 block of Water Street reported his son was at the home causing a disturbance and the caller wants him removed from the home. The male was arrested
  • 1:37 p.m. Medical emergency in the 400 block of Summer Lake Drive. A 69-year-old male had fallen and needed assistance getting up. An IU Health Hospital ambulance responded
  • 1:01 p.m. Report that a female was being picked up by a driver in a white van with Kentucky plates at the Mitchell McDonald's. The female had several bags with her and the caller was concerned and said it seemed suspicious. The van was last seen traveling west on State Road 60 East
  • 1:30 p.m. Parking problem in the 140 block of Lafayette Avenue
  • 12:32 p.m. Medical emergency at Main Street and Teke Burton Drive. An elderly woman who was out walking fell and possibly broke her hip. An AMR ambulance and Mitchell VFD responded
  • 11:55 a.m. A resident in the 2150 block of Lawrenceport Road reported their Dodge truck and trailer had been stolen sometime overnight. The vehicles were found in the 10 block of Woodlawn Village
  • 11:48 a.m. A vehicle parked behind the Bedford McDonald's has a swarm of bees on it
  • 11:40 a.m. A resident in the 1390 block of Maul Ridge Road reported their father was at their mother's home and taking items per a court order, but he was also taking items that were not his
  • 11:20 a.m. Theft from a garage in the 750 block of Mill Creek Road
  • 10:30 p.m. The principal at Shawswick School reported receiving calls from parents reporting shooting in the area
  • 9:45 a.m. Disabled vehicle on State Road 37, at the Oolitic exit
  • 9:44 a.m. A resident in the 1280 block of Erie Church Road reported unsafe shooting in the area of BNL
  • 9:31 a.m. A resident on Bartlettsville Road was on station to report their travel trailer had been stolen and the farm gate had been cut.
  • 8:46 a.m. A doctor's office requested a welfare check in the 210 block of Hunter Creek Road on a patient that did not show up for their appointment. The person was fine, but didn't go to the appointment because they had switched doctors
  • 8:35 a.m. Vehicle parked in the middle of the roadway on Lawrenceport Road
  • 8:21 a.m. Report of an abandoned vehicle at Second Street and Grissom Avenue
  • 7:59 a.m. Vandalism to a vehicle in the 210 block of South Second Street
  • 7:52 a.m. Report of a male slumped over the steer wheel of a vehicle on State Road 446, north of State Road 58. Police were unable to find the vehicle
  • 7:45 a.m. Suspicious vehicle a black Dodge Ram and trailer blocking the 10 block of Woodlawn Village
  • 4 a.m. Fight in the 300 block of Wells Avenue. A 20-year-old male had punched a 16-year-old boy
  • 3:51 a.m. A resident in the 370 block of Murdock Station Road reported their 17-year-old had left the house around 11 or 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday and has not returned home

  • 8:55 a.m. Report of an erratic driver in a silver Chevrolet SUV southbound on State Road 37 and they had pulled into the Mitchell Arby's
  • 8:28 a.m. Report of a possible intoxicated female driver in a gray Toyota Rave at the Arby's in Mitchell. Police followed the vehicle and saw no problem
  • 7:33 p.m. Medical emergency in the 700 block of West Hancock Avenue. A woman was suffering body aches, chest pain and was weak. An AMR ambulance and Mitchell VFD responded
  • 7:23 a.m. DVDs, video games were stolen from a home in the 4100 block of North County Road 1250 West in Norman. Jackson County Police were alerted
  • 4:10 a.m. A tree was down on Kings Ridge Road and US 50
  • 3:59 a.m. Medical emergency in the 3320 block of Michael Avenue. A 52-year-old male was suffering a seizure. A IU Health Hospital ambulance responded
  • 3:40 a.m. Burglary in progress in the 1450 block of Norman Road. A white Chevrolet S-10 with two males was seen fleeing the scene. Jackson County Police responded. Lawrence County Police assisted
  • 2:20 p.m. Noise complaint at the Mark III Motel
  • 1:14 a.m. Report of a disturbance at McDonald's in Bedford. A second caller reported shots were fired and a man was hit. At 1:20 a.m. Police had the suspect stopped on Patrick Robbins Way at State Road 37. A man was arrested
  • 12:15 a.m. Disabled vehicle in the northbound lane of State Road 37, south of Judah
  • 12:13 a.m. Police made a traffic stop on Doc Hamilton Boulevard and Rabbitsville Road. A man was arrested
