  • 10:21 p.m. Medical emergency in the 2210 block of H Street. A man was suffering a possible stroke. An IU Health Hospital ambulance responded
  • 8:39 p.m. An alarm was sounding at Hoosier Hills Ham Club. It was a false alarm
  • 7:50 p.m. A wallet was found at Rulers Food Store
  • 7:38 p.m. Possible intoxicated driver in a blue vehicle on Oolitic Road near the schools
  • 7:25 p.m. Animal control was in the 490 block of Blue Springs Cabin Road on a follow up call
  • 6:59 p.m. A motorist reported they almost hit a 1 to 2-year-old female toddler who was wearing on a pair of shorts and was walking in the roadway in the 860 block of Harrison Road. The motorist stopped her vehicle and walked with the child for about a half a mile where she found the child's mother yelling for her daughter. The mother told the motorist that the child's grandparents were watching her and just let her run around and the girl had been playing in the cow pasture earlier. The motorist told police the child was dirty and had a sore on her neck. The Department of Child Services was alerted
  • 6:49 p.m. Report of a big tractor blocking the road and had busted a water main on Ind. 54 between Avoca and Springville
  • 6:26 p.m. Report of trespassing at Indiana Limestone. The people were stopped and told not to come back
  • 5:59 p.m. Medical emergency in the 300 block of Forest Park Drive. A woman had fallen and was unconscious. An IU Health Hospital ambulance responded
  • 4:09 p.m. A person was on station to report their neighbor is stalking them
  • 4:07 p.m. A resident on Blue Springs Cabin Circle reported their neighbor is making threats towards their dog

Incidents - May 23

  • 1:01 a.m. Report of 10 cars and several teens on the football field. The kids are now running toward Emmerson School and there are more cars parked there. They were all seniors and were told to leave
  • 3:45 a.m. Report of a domestic fight on Newby Street and the husband reported his wife is trying to destroy their belongings
  • 4:11 a.m. A resident on 12th Street reported there were several teen on school property messing around
  • 4:52 a.m. Report of several kids and vehicle in the gravel lot of McDonald's and are racing on and off the lot. The teens were gone when police arrived
  • 9:34 a.m. Request for extra patrols at the feed store. The vending machine had been broken into over the weekend
  • 1:31 p.m. A resident in the 100 block of Frank Street reported a theft
  • 2:30 p.m. A man was on station to speak to an officer about an incident that occurred at Kentucky Fried Chicken last week
  • 2:38 p.m. A resident in the 1200 block of Warren Street reported of people acting unruly. Police will make extra patrols
  • 5:10 p.m. A resident on East Vine Street reported her neighbor is taking photos of her
  • 5:58 p.m. A resident on Meridian Road says they followed a small red 4-door vehicle from Campbellsburg to Meridian Road and believes the driver is intoxicated
  • 7:48 p.m. A resident on First Street reported they found drug items and requested an officer come get them
  • 8:08 p.m. A resident on Diane Street requested an officer call her
  • 8:28 p.m. A male on East Vine Street requested to speak to an officer because his neighbor is giving him problems
  • 8:53 p.m. A resident from East Vine Street and her daughter were on station to report the neighbors were harassing her children while she is at work
  • 9:02 p.m. A man was on station to speak to an officer about possible drug activity
  • 9:10 p.m. Report of someone burning something causing a lot of smoke in the area of Ind. 60 East
  • 9:32 p.m. A South Second Street resident reported a suspicious vehicle parked in the alley for the last two night for about 15 minutes each time and then leaves. Police will make extra patrols
  • 9:52 p.m. A male was on station to report the theft of equipment off his moped on West Frank Street

  • 8:43 p.m. Report that two people got out of a blue vehicle and were now being chased by the driver on Ind. 60 West at the Ind. 60/U.S.50 split. The one male is a male teen in a camo hat with black shirt and jeans on
  • 8:12 p.m. Report that a male in an El Camino is blocking a woman who is in a red Chevrolet Cobalt on Burton Cemetery Road in front of the cemetery. The woman had left when police arrived. They found the male walking down the road and the vehicle still parked.
  • 7:57 p.m. Report of water seeping through the road near the entrance of the cave on Blue Springs Cavern Road. South Lawrence Utilities was notified
  • 7:32 p.m. A fire alarm was sounding at a vacant apartment on Beech Street. Bedford Fire Department was alerted
  • 7:21 p.m. Report of a 3-year-old child walking a dog with no adults around on M Street between 11th and 12th streets. The child had pulled down his pants and urinated on the sidewalk

  • 1:03 p.m. Domestic fight in the 60 block of Mystic Lake. A woman and children were attempting to leave the home and her husband was refusing to allow them to get their belongings
  • 1:02 p.m. Report of an intoxicated person outside of the jail. A male was taken to the hospital for a medical evaluation and was then arrested

Arrests - May 22

  • 3:59 p.m. Isaak James, 20, 106 Dale St., operating a vehicle while never licensed, expired license plates.
  • 6:07 p.m. Stephanie Wilson, 27, 519 South 8th St., battery causing injury

Incidents - May 22

  • 1:58 a.m. Report of a female juvenile walking at Fourth and Main streets. The juvenile's mother was on station reporting a dispute with the juvenile. The juvenile was picked up and told not to leave home without permission again
  • 11:55 a.m. Report of a domestic fight on South First Street. Some of those involved were outside in the yard and some in a red vehicle
  • 12:47 p.m. A motorist had locked their keys in their vehicle at Mitchell Car Wash. The truck was running in a car wash bay. The vehicle was unlocked.
  • 1:49 p.m. An employee at Terry's reported a possible impaired woman at the gas pumps. The woman was ok and left the area
  • 1:52 p.m. Report of a water leak in the front yard of a home on Wade Street. The water department was contacted. The leak was on the homeowner's side
  • 1:52 p.m. A resident on Carter Avenue reported the theft of items from their yard
  • 2:03 p.m. There were several birthday parties being held at the Mitchell City Park and the restrooms needed unlocked
  • 2:53 p.m. Report of juveniles riding a red 4-wheeler up and down Wells Avenue at Third Street and in the alley. Police spoke to the juveniles and were told to keep the vehicle off the roadway
  • 4:06 p.m. Report of a driver in the orange Camaro on Ind. 37 traveling southbound driving recklessly
  • 4:52 p.m. Report of an alarm sounding in the 1500 block of West Main Street. The alarm was set off by the cleaners.
  • 5 p.m. A man was on station to report a battery. Police went to Elm Park Apartments and a woman was arrested
  • 6:17 p.m. A woman called to report finding a syringe at the stop sign at Doc Hamilton Boulevard and Meridian Road. Police disposed of the syringe
  • 7:28 p.m. A man on West Warren Street reported officers worked a case Saturday about damage to a tie on a F-150 truck and he has more information. He was told the officer working the case would contact him on Monday
  • 7:44 p.m. Mitchell VFD conducted their weekly radio check
  • 7:50 p.m. Report of loud music in the 100 block of Grissom AVenue. There was no loud music playing when police arrived
  • 11:15 p.m. An off-duty officer reported a possible impaired male walking on South Second Street.

  • 9:27 p.m. Medical emergency in the 8500 block of Ind. 58 East. A man was having trouble breathing. An IU Health Hospital ambulance and Pleasant Run VFD responded
  • 8:50 p.m. A resident in the 4900 block of Sand Pit Road reported finding possible items used to make drugs and found tire tracks in their yard. Police retrieved the items and the cleaner found is not commonly used to make drugs.
  • 7:59 p.m. Medical emergency in the 1040 block of Blue Springs Cavern Road. A man had hurt his back. An IU Health Hospital ambulance and Marion VFD responded
  • 7:09 p.m. Medical emergency in the 310 block of West Warren Street. The caller said a man had got "clocked in the head." A Seals ambulance and Mitchell VFD responded

    • 12:12 a.m. A resident in the 600 block of Frank Street requested an officer because he had been battered by a man in a black truck. The truck is headed north on 6th Street toward Main Street. Police stopped the vehicle.
    • 11:09 a.m. A resident in the 100 block of Main Street reported a protective order violation in progress at that location. The person was gone when police arrived. Police will make extra patrols
    • 12:56 p.m. Report of a black and white dog at Third Street and Hancock Avenue loose and aggressive knocking people down
    • 1:16 p.m. An employee at Mitchell Manor reported a man pulled into the
    • parking lot in silver mini van wearing pajama pants and no shirt. He then got out of the vehicle and walked off and was ducking behind vehicles and
    • trees like he was trying to hide. The man then walked off and left van parked in the lot
    • 3:13 p.m. Report of a black and white dog running loose with no collar on South 8th Street
    • 4:18 p.m. A person on Wells Avenue requested to speak to an officer about a vehicle on their lot
    • 4:25 p.m. A motorist traveling southbound on Ind. 37 near AppleAcres reported another motorist in a white Ford truck almost ran him off the road
    • 5:29 p.m. Report of possible drug activity on Dale Street. A man was arrested
    • 6:26 p.m. A resident on West Oak Street reported a woman is bothering her by staring at her home. A no trespass order was signed and served
    • 6:50 p.m. A motorist locked their keys in a vehicle at Arthur's Repair on Teke Burton Drive. Police unlocked the vehicle
    • 7:06 p.m. A man on West Warren Street reported he had been injured by another male. A Seals ambulance responded. Police went to IU Health Hospital to take a statement from the injured man. At 9:40 p.m. police went to the rooming house at Fourth and Warren streets and a man was arrested. Then at 9:58 p.m. a neighbor called and reported family members were now having a fight over this issue. The fight is not physical and one male has left the area
    • 7:10 p.m. A man from West Oak Street was on station about a silver vehicle that had been parked the last two nights in front of his home and wants officer to check on it and see why it is parked there. Police will make extra patrols in the area

    • 11:00 a.m. A medical alarm was sounded at a home in the 200 block of West VIne Street. An elderly woman had fallen and needed help getting up. Mitchell VFD responded
    • 12:24 p.m. A resident in the 400 block of East Vine Street requested an officer because her neighbor had a camera and it is pointing towards her bedroom window
    • 1:19 p.m. A resident in the 700 block of West Oak Street was on station to report fraud
    • 2:53 p.m. Report of a tree down on Rabbitsville Road in the area of Doc Hamilton Boulevard
    • 3:13 p.m. Lawrence County Police asked officer to be on the lookout for an elderly woman in a red Ford Escape. The woman had dementia and been gone from her home for a couple of hours and no one can locate her. At 3:32 p.m. police were informed the woman had been located
    • 4:12 p.m. Request for a lift assist at a home in the 200 block of Vine Street.
    • 5:57 p.m. Report of an intoxicated person at CVS Pharmacy
    • 7:35 p.m. A resident in the 300 block of Oak Street reported her 13 and 14-year-old daughters are refusing to listen to her and come home. The juveniles ran to Second and Oak Street. One female went home and the other one is hiding. Police attempted to find the juvenile but were unable to locate her. They did check a home on Main Street. Police advised the woman to file a missing person's report.

Then police talked to three one male and female has went on walking the other calling a parent to come pick her up because she is under age. The parents are in Fayetteville. The officer took the female to her home at Persimmon Park Apartments
