Attention Lawrence County Manufacturers, Bedford & Mitchell Chamber Members, and Lawrence County Economic Growth Council:

The following is a program offered to individuals who are wanting to improve their skills and knowledge of the manufacturing industry in preparation for a new career? The Advanced Manufacturing Program (AMP) provides scholarship-funded training to qualified individuals. Upon completion of the eight-week (160 hour) program successful applicants will be Certified Production Technicians in the following areas Safety, Quality & Measurement, Manufacturing & Production, Maintenance Awareness.

The AMP program is a partnership of South Central Indiana employers, economic development, and workforce development organizations working together to increase the skill set of the region’s workforce. Scholarships are provided by the companies and organizations who have donated funding, as well as time, effort, and asset capital to position and potentially fund Advance Manufacturing Program.

Attached you will find the 2015 Advanced Manufacturing Program (AMP) dates. As you can see, Ivy Tech Community College are planning two classes – one in Bedford from 6-9 PM, Monday – Thursday and the other in Bloomington from 9AM to Noon, Monday – Thursday. Both classes start February 23^rd.
