Last updated on Wednesday, July 28, 2010
(SEYMOUR, IN) - State police say a biplane crashed this morning into a field just north of Freeman field in Seymour.
The plane, a single-engine World War I era biplane, took off from the field, reached about 55 feet in altitude before losing power and crashing back to the ground.
59-year-old Phillip Krueger of Freetown received minor scrapes and bruises in the crash.
A similar incident happened in June 2008 when Krueger took off from Freeman field and the plane lost power and crashed near the runway.
