Deputy Accused Of Stealing Money From Trustee's Office

(BEDFORD, IN) - A deputy in the Shawswick Township trustee’s office is accused of stealing money from the trustee’s office.
39-year-old April Eagan-Dorsett has been charged with theft.
According to court documents, Eagan-Dorsett admitted to Indiana State Police that she stole about $53,000 in 2008 and 2009 however an auditor with the State Board of Accounts claims Eagan-Dorsett had taken $157,413 from 2005 to 2010.
Dorsett worked in the office of Peggy Dorsett, who is the Shawswick Township trustee.
