State Police On Full Patrol During Travel Season
Last updated on Thursday, November 26, 2009
(UNDATED, IN) - State police will once again be out in full force over the holiday travel season.
Sergeant Dave Bursten says extra troopers will be patrolling roadways looking for drunk drivers, aggressive driving and for seatbelt use.
Sergeant Bursten says the extra patrols and education programs have helped to reduce fatal crashes by 90 so far this year compared to last year.
He says to use turn signals, stay a safe distance from the vehicle in front of you and to decrease distractions while driving.
