(MITCHELL, IN) - Mitchell police officials are investigating three thefts of a Mitchell tobacco store.

According to Mtichell Police Chief Jerry Presnell, Penny's Discounty Tobacco Store at 105 North 8th Street in Mitchell, has been broken into three times in the past week.

Presnell says that the store was broken into on Monday November 23rd, Wednesday November 25th and Thursday November 26th of last week with the suspects stealing large amounts of tobacco products from the store's shelves.

Authorities believe that the thefts are related due to the method used in gaining entry into the store; by kicking the door in.

Authorities say the case is still under investigation at this time.
