(BLOOMFIELD, IN) - A Bloomfield man died while driving his car Thursday morning.

According to Lawrence County Sheriff Department, 77-year-old James F. Christenberry of Bloomfield was traveling on Rabittsville Road near the intersection of Yockey Road in a 1976 International 1600 when the vehicle crashed into a utility pole.

As police crews arrived at the scene, Christenberry's son was attempting CPR on James.

Police reports indicate that due to the minor severity of the wreck and no evidence of anything in the roadway that would have caused the man to swerve off of the road.
