Police Investigating Spencer Bank Robbery
(SPENCER, IN) - Spencer Police along with Indiana State Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Friday afternoon.
According to police the suspect entered the Peoples Bank located at 304 East Morgan Street in Spencer, displayed a handgun, gave the teller a bag and demanded cash.
The suspect then left the bank headed south on East Street.
Police officials are describing the suspect as a white male in his 50's wearing a tan baseball hat, tan jacket, a button down tan or gray shirt and blue jeans; he was also wearing glasses at the time of the robbery.
It is unknown at this time if police believe this robbery is connected to a previous bank robbery in Bloomington.
