Teen Facing Preliminary Charges For Monday Stabbing

(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - A Bloomington teen has been taken to a juvenile detention facility in Vincennes following a reported stabbing of another teen.

According to Bloomington Police Department Sargeant Jeff Canada, two 17-year-olds were involved in a mutual fight leading up to the stabbing.

The victim of the stabbing was able to give a description of the suspect's face and car.

Officers were later able to arrest the suspect during a traffic stop; officers say they noticed blood on the suspect's hands.

The suspect is facing preliminary charges of aggravated battery as a B felony, and battery as a C felony.

The condition of the stabbing victim is not known.
