Injured Child's Father To Serve 2 1/2 Years In Prison

(COLUMBUS, IN) - The Columbus, Indiana father of a 2-year-old girl who was severely scalded in hot bathwater will serve 2½ years behind bars for placing his daughter in a situation that endangered her health.
26-year-old Carl Holt III had the remaining 7½ year prison term suspended Tuesday during his sentencing hearing.
He pleaded guilty in January to neglect of a dependent resulting in serious bodily injury, a class B felony.
