Search Begins For New NCAA Leader
(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - Following the death of NCAA President Myles Brand, the association has begun the process of searching for a new leader.
NCAA Public Relations Director Erik Christianson says the 19 member executive committee is responsible for the search and picking a new president.
The committee is made up of University Presidents and Chancellors from around the country.
He adds they also traditionally use an executive search firm as well.
There is no timetable for finding a replacement.
The Association's Senior Management Team continues to oversee day to day operations.
