Fire Fighters "Fill The Boot"
(BEDFORD, IN) - Bedford firefighters will take to the streets tomorrow to raise money to go towards the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) and the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) which is then distributed to Lawrence County families with neuromuscular disease.
Lawrence County residents can "fill the boot" as the fundraiser is referred to and "put out the flame" on neuromuscular diseases by dropping a donation into firefighters' boots according to the MDA. The campaign will begin street side from 10:00AM to 5:00PM at Wal-Mart.
Funds raised during the Lawrence County event will be presented on live TV during the Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon September 7th on Fox 59.
The "fill the boot" fundraiser is tomorrow, as well as on August 15th and August 22nd.
