Play It Safe When Playing With Fireworks
(LAWRENCE COUNTY) - The Fourth of July is tomorrow (Saturday) and if you aren’t already you will most likely be setting of your own fireworks tonight and tomorrow.
Scott Gillespie with the Bedford Fire Department would like to remind all the public to play it safe when playing with fireworks.
He would like parents to be aware that fireworks are not for children; sparklers and firecrackers can cause severe third degree burns.
More fires are caused on one day due to fireworks than any other day of the year.
Over all, Gillespie encourages everyone to stay safe this year.
Fireworks can be lit tonight from 9:00 AM until 11:00 PM and tomorrow on the Fourth from 9:00 AM until midnight.
