(BROWN COUNTY) - A 13-year-old Brown County child will be tried as an adult for the gruesome murder of an 84-year-old man.

13-year-old Blade Reed will be tried as an adult on 2 of the 9 counts made during the 13-year-old's attempt at robbery.

He will be tried as an adult for murder, and attempted robbery resulting in bodily injury, a class B felony.

The remaining counts will be ruled through the juvenile system, including conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder, aggravated battery, battery by means of a deadly weapon, burglary, and two counts of theft.

The Judge wrote "Despite evidence of abuse and unfair circumstances that may have played a formative role in Blade's alleged actions, the safety of the community remains at risk if he is found to have committed the acts and is returned to the community without complete rehabilitation."

The murder took place this past November, the boy is now under the custody of the Brown County Sheriff's Department.
