Water Meters To Be Changed In City

(LAWRENCE COUNTY) - Bedford residents will soon see if they haven’t seen already, the water company at their homes, although they wont be there to read them.

Bedford City Utilities in contract with Johnson Central / US Bronco Service will be changing out the waters meters throughout the city.

The project began about two months ago and still has about one month left.

The purpose of the change is mainly efficiency.

Many of the old meters have slowly lost their calibration.

Residents should receive a notice on their door when their area is next to be affected explaining when their water meters will be changed.

Areas currently affected are 14th, P and around Q streets.
