Two Men Charged With Multiple Drug Charges

(BEDFORD) - On Sunday at around 2:00 PM Bedford Police received a call from Wendy’s on 16th street for a suspicious car that was driving unsafely around both the Wendy’s and the Lowes parking lots.

When police arrived and pulled the car containing two male adults and one 7-year-old child over officers were surprised to find methamphetamine laying out in the open on the inside of the car.

After talking with the driver, 42-year-old Jerry Lemmons they determined that he was intoxicated.

Jerry Lemmons was charged with:
- possession of methamphetamine of over 3 grams with intent to distribute
- OWI
- reckless possession of paraphernalia
- possession of a controlled substance
- taking a child to a nuisance
- child restraint violation
- no driving operators license

When Bedford Police talked with the adult passenger of the vehicle 36-year-old Kevin D. Elsmore, he at first gave them a fake name and then after Police Officials got his real name, they discovered that he was wanted on warrant for domestic battery in Monroe County.

Kevin D. Elsmore was charged with:
- domestic battery
- possession of methamphetamine of over 3 grams with intent to distribute
- possession of a controlled substance
- reckless possession of paraphernalia
- public intoxication

The 7-year-old was taken into child protective services.
