River Levels To Rise Through Weekend

(UNDATED) - Flood warnings continue throughout the listening area and in many areas are being extended.

The White River in Seymour, Spencer, and Newberry will all rise above flood stage either this afternoon or later tonight, while Elliston is already there.

The river in these areas is expected to be above flood stage, perhaps between 2 and 4 feet over by current forecasts, until mid to late day Tuesday.

With heavy rains coming through the past couple days, the ground is saturated and more rain is on the way.

This morning, Weather Channel radar is showing a system stretching between Springfield and Cape Girardeau, Missouri that may angle its way up here.
