IUPD Officers Commended For Saving Heart Attack Patient
(BLOOMINGTON) - Rescue efforts by two Indiana University police officers Easter morning to revive a fallen food service worker has garnered them recognition from a major heart health organization.
IUPD Captain Jerry Minger says Sgt. Shannon Ramey and Officer Joe Amandola were recognized by the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Association for their help in saving the person who suffered an apparent heart attack at Forest Quad on Easter.
Ramey and Amandola were issued the Certificate of Heroism by the group, and a commendation bar to place on their uniforms.
