(INDIANAPOLIS) - Two young Greene County boys burned in a gasoline explosion in Scotland remain in critical condition, but the community continues to build support for them.

The Greene County Daily World reports 10-year-old Nicholas Decker and 11-year-old Joshua Merritt remain on respirators to help with their breathing and have gone through, and will continue to go through, an extensive number of surgeries, primarily skin grafts, on their long path to recovery.

At the same time, this Saturday, a benefit event has been set up at the Bloomfield American Legion post starting at 7:00pm which includes music and auctions.

And one person helping raise money told the paper the response to the donation accounts at Bloomfield State Bank has been positive.
