(BEDFORD) - If you’re around the water treatment plant or bowling alley in Bedford this morning, don’t worry, the disaster you may see is actually a drill.

Lawrence County Emergency Management Director Valerie Luchauer tells us that, starting this morning at 9:30, Lawrence County's first responders will be conducting a mock disaster training exercise.

At the water treatment plant on Illinois Street, Luchauer says crews will be responding to a mock hazardous materials emergency, and at the bowling alley parking lot, crews will be working a mock bus accident.

Luchauer encourages Bedfordites to avoid those areas this morning unless absolutely necessary.
