(BEDFORD) - Bedford Republican State Senator Brent Steele has some good news for Jackson County residents.

Steele's office says Jackson County will get $1.7 million for improving drinking and wastewater facilities as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, otherwise known as the stimulus package.

Steele says in his release that he does not support the stimulus package, however, he is glad Jackson County got some help out of it.
