Pelfree Sentenced To Back-To-Back 65-Year Sentences
(BLOOMINGTON) - The body barrel double homicide case from 2007 in Bloomington has finally come, it seems, to an end.
The Bloomington Herald Times reports Jerry Pelfree, who was convicted of the murder of Everett Shaw and Douglas Brown, has been sentenced to 130 years behind bars, the maximum sentence available for the crimes.
Pelfree was convicted of killing the two men whom were, according to testimony, working with Pelfree in a meth manufacturing operation.
The two men were literally broken and placed into large barrels on Pelfree's property to rot over the incredibly hot summer of 2007, when they were found that following autumn.
The paper says the judge sentenced the man to 65 years for each murder to be served consecutively.
Pelfree said he would appeal the decision.
