Bedford Man Dies In Martin County Accident

(LOOGOOTEE) - A Bedford man is dead after a car crash in Loogootee yesterday.
The Martin County Sheriff's Department says 40-year-old Rickie Jones of Bedford was pronounced dead at the scene, and two others were injured.
33-year-old Joshua Benton of Loogootee was airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital and 38-year-old Melissa Williams of Jasper was transported to Jasper Hospital.
The reports say the accident happened when Jones, driving an International truck, rear-ended Benton who was trying to turn into a driveway on US-231 south, and Benton then sideswiped Williams' pickup.
