(BLOOMINGTON) - The Kentucky State Police and the indiana University Police Department are both investigating a rape that reportedly occurred in Bloomington.

According to IUPD Captain Jerry Minger, the Kentucky State Police post in Elizabethtown contacted IUPD at around 3:30am Saturday morning, saying they were investigating the claim of a 20-year-old woman saying that she had been raped in the white parking lot of IU's Memorial Stadium.

Kentucky detectives believe the assailant is an acquaintance of the woman, and both departments are investigating the case.
