(DETROIT, MI) - The United Auto Workers and General Motors are back at the bargaining table as of yesterday talking concessions as the Detroit automakers gear up their business plans they’re required to submit to Congress today.

Inside Indiana Business reports GM is talking again with the union to meet part of the bargain they struck with Capitol Hill in December, that part being an agreement to significant concessions by the union by today.

However, The Detroit News is reporting further, saying that a deal would not be struck by today's deadline, and that GM would actually be asking for more loan money to weather the economic storm.

Also, we may learn more about the 4 brands that GM has declared to not be part of its core strategy, those being Saturn, Pontiac, Saab and Hummer.
