Former Bears Cornerback Allan Ellis To Stop For Lunch at BNL, MHS Today
(BEDFORD) - A National Football League legend will be in Bedford and Mitchell today talking to kids about drugs.
Former cornerback for the Chicago Bears Allan Ellis will be stopping in for lunch hours at Bedford North Lawrence and Mitchell High Schools today, signing autographs as part of a program to promote a book keeping kids drug free.
Ellis played ball in the Windy City from 1973 to 1980 alongside luminaries such as Dick Butkus and Mike Singletary, and was traded to the San Diego Chargers for a year before his retirement in 1981.
