(MILLTOWN) - The current icy and snowy weather is being blamed for a fatal accident in Crawford County.

Jasper State Police Sgt. Chad Dick reports 36-year-old Suzanne Mosson of Marengo was headed west on IN-64 when she lost control of her car, spun out, slid across the centerline, causing 28-year-old Adam Sines of Milltown to strike her passenger side.

Mosson was pronounced dead at the scene, and Sines did not report any injuries.

Dick says that, although both were wearing their seatbelts, the impact was so severe, they could not have helped Mosson.

IN-64 was shut down for about 2 hours while crews cleaned up the scene. Both vehicles were reported to be a total loss.
