Jackson County Woman Found Dead From Gunshots

(JACKSON COUNTY) - Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating an apparent shooting death in the rural part of the county.
Around 9:30 last night, the Seymour Tribune reports police receiving a call from a home on CR750 East of a woman who had been shot and the alleged male assailant still being in the home.
When police arrived, the man was still on scene and he and the weapon were secured.
The man was taken to Schneck Medical Center for his injuries and eventually transferred to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
The woman involved was pronounced dead on the scene.
No identities have been released.
