Bloomington Student Doesn't Want A League Of Her Own, Just To Play
Last updated on Monday, January 05, 2009
(BLOOMINGTON) - The boys baseball team at Bloomington High School South might have to make room for a female on the field.
That's because freshman Logan Young has been granted permission to try out. Young's parents filed a federal lawsuit challenging an IHSAA rule prohibiting girls from participating in certain sports programs.
Young had been playing on co-ed teams for nearly a decade and wanted to keep playing with the boys teams in high school.
