(LINTON) - Four fire departments responded to a blaze that claimed a Greene County car dealership early yesterday evening.

The Greene County Daily World reports the fire was reported at around 6:20pm yesterday evening at Kinnett Auto Sales in Linton, and after 2 hours of working on the fire by the Linton, Bloomfield, Jasonville and Dugger Fire Departments, the fire was under control.

The paper says the fire spread quickly and the extra manpower was needed to keep it from spreading to the nearby Bender Lumber yard or other residences.

There were reports from the scene indicating explosions at the building that breached the roof.

The cause is still under investigation.
