Seymour Fire Investigators Say Home Was Torched...Again
(SEYMOUR) - Fire investigators in Seymour have officially determined the cause of a fire on South Park Drive to be arson.
The Seymour Tribune reports the home at 307 S. Park Drive was uninhabited when it burned over the weekend, but that was only because it was in the middle of being rehabilitated from another fire in August in which 33-year-old Jarrod Reynolds is accused of setting.
The fire over this past weekend at the home was so intense, in fact, that it did significant damage to the homes on either side.
The paper reports that since all accidental causes have been ruled out, investigators are now looking into leads and other information as to the cause, and any possible connection with another fire from Sunday on Seymour's Highlawn Avenue.
Reynolds remains in jail facing a number of charges including arson and attempted murder.
