(FRENCH LICK) - A New Albany man is in the Orange County jail facing a grocery list of charges, including 4 felonies, after a chase and wreck near French Lick.

State Police Jasper say troopers attempted to stop 28-year-old Garland Miller of New Albany for speeding on IN-145 north of Baseline Road, but Miller reportedly took off in his Pontiac, sideswiped a parked car, got out, ran and hid from the officer.

Miller was found behind a residence and taken to the Orange County jail, and is now facing felony charges of resisting arrest, drunk driving with a prior, obstruction of justice and criminal recklessness with a vehicle, misdemeanor charges of false informing and reckless driving, and a short stack of traffic citations.
