Hoosier Hills, Spencer County Credit Unions To Merge

(BEDFORD) - Two local financial institutions have been given the thumbs-up to combine resources.
The Hoosier Hills Credit Union here in Bedford and the Spencer County Credit Union in Chrisney will officially merge on December 31st.
The Spencer County Credit Union has one branch in Chrisney with about 400 members, while the Hoosier Hills Credit Union has 6 branches, two here in Bedford as well as locations in Mitchell, Paoli, French Lick and Jasper and a membership closer to 25,000.
The merger was approved by the Indiana Department of Financial Institutions last week Thursday.
