(AREA) - New Year’s is a time for reflection and celebration. This year, as you ring in the New Year, make a resolution to always choose a designated driver before heading out for the night.
Nearly two out of three American adults have either been a designated driver or been driven home by one.
So, before you go out, select one person in the group to be the designated driver.
Thanks to increased awareness of the importance of designated drivers and strong law enforcement, drunk-driving fatalities are down 38 percent since 1982, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
