Owner Of Two Downtown Bloomington Staples Dies
Last updated on Tuesday, November 04, 2008
(BLOOMINGTON) - One last round for ol’ Dick Barnes. Richard “Dick” Barnes passed away in Bloomington Sunday morning.
If the name doesn't sound familiar to you, maybe these will, especially for anyone who's been to downtown Bloomington: Café Pizzaria, and Nick's English Pub.
Barnes originally opened Café Pizzaria in 1953, and bought Nick's in 1957, making them both staples of the downtown Bloomington scene.
Barnes was 83.
