Police Chase, Wreck Puts Three Hoosiers In Medical Chopper

(PAOLI) - Two people from Washington, 1 from Montgomery and 1 reportedly stolen vehicle from Mitchell are all a mess after a police chase and wreck in Paoli early yesterday morning.

Police had to give up the chase due to safety concerns around 3:30am, as the silver Pontiac shot east on US-150 through Paoli and lost control, wrecked into an embankment, and threw two of the occupants from the car.

Max Sterlin Rayhill and Shawn Cody Evans, both 20-years-old and from Washington were ejected, and 19-year-old Sarah Marie Petry of Montgomery was trapped inside.

All three were airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital with serious injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
