(BLOOMINGTON) - Starting next week, groups from Indiana University and Purdue University are out for blood, literally.

The 12th annual IU v. Purdue Blood Donor Challenge starts this coming Monday, and goes through November 14th, a week before IU heads to Ross Ade Stadium to fight over the Old Oaken Bucket.

Linda Lynch and Arnette Tiller, wives of IU Coach Bill Lynch and Purdue Coach Joe Tiller, are honorary chairs of the event, and are both doing their part to get Hoosiers, Boilers and everyone in Indiana to donate blood.

Purdue currently leads all time 6-5, but IU has won the last three in a row.
