16 Years In Prison For Columbus Man

(VERNON) - A Columbus man will spend 16 years in prison after pleading guilty to robbery and gun charges.

28-year-old Bryan Wayne smith robbed a man of his truck while holding him at gunpoint last year in Jennings County.

After stealing the vehicle, Smith drove to North Vernon, where he stole a second vehicle and drove it to a local gas station.

After a brief stand-off, North Vernon police department officers arrested Smith.
