Persimmon Festival Hits Full Stride Tonight

(MITCHELL) - Today is the start of the Main Street portion of the Mitchell Persimmon Festival.
Extra road closures go into effect this morning.
As of 7:00am this morning, Main Street will close down from 7th to 8th Streets, and 6th Street will shut down further from Main to Warren.
Then, tonight at 11:00pm, Main Street will be closed down to its final extent from 5th to 8th Streets. That closure will remain in effect through the week.
Also, tonight, the carnival goes live with rides and the midway.
