(VINCENNES) - The Indiana Department of Transportation will be hitting the road, and grabbing your signs.

INDOT reminds Hoosiers that all signs, political, real estate, and otherwise, are not allowed on state or federal highways and their rights of way.

The right of way, INDOT says, includes the pavement itself, the medians, and the sides up to either the back of the ditch or to the fence line.

If you have a sign along one of these pathways, and it turns up missing, local residents can visit INDOT's Paoli Subdistrict on Greenbriar Drive between 7:30am and 3:00pm weekdays to reclaim them.
