Former Jackson County Fire Chief Pleads Guilty To Theft
(BROWNSTOWN) - A former fire chief at a nearby fire department has pleaded guilty to more than $38,000 in theft.
Former fire chief of Jackson County's Carr Township Fire Department, Russell Todd Snodgrass, faces up to a maximum 6 months behind bars and $29,000 in restitution.
Snodgrass will face a sentencing hearing in March to determine his progress in paying back the money he owes to the department.
Investigators in Jackson County say Snodgrass took the money between 2003 and 2005 while he was chief.
