(BEDFORD) - Two people were injured in a three car accident yesterday afternoon that has been blamed on driver fatigue.

Lawrence County police reports say 35-year-old Angela Bayliff of Martinsville was heading south on IN-37 approaching the US-50 light when, reports say, she drifted off, both to sleep, and off the road.

Bayliff woke up just before hitting a pole, swerved back on road and hit 67-year-old Nancy Pearson of Attica, Indiana instead, who then hit 29-year-old Angela Russell of Bedford, both of whom were sitting at the red light.

Neither Pearson nor Russell required significant medical attention, however, Bayliff and her son, 9-year-old Cody who was in the car, were taken to Dunn Memorial Hospital where they were treated and released.

No citations were issued.
